It's SO important to manage all the cables, both to keep it clean and to know which wires go to what equipment, great video topic M8s

Cam, great video. The look on your face at the beginning says it all!

I used that ducting in my RS XL425 build and one thing I can say about it is, it’s very difficult functionally to remove the cover for access in tight spaces. The way you’ve used it makes proper access easier but inside a cabinet, even using short lengths, it’s super hard to remove a specific cord in order to remove a specific piece of equipment, and secondly, even more difficult to re-position the cord back in the channel and then get the cover back on. Next build, I will use an open large-grid basket suspended from the top, MARK each cord (🙄🙄🙄🙄😂) and then feed each one up from the power bar, through an opening in the basket, and then straight out the back of the cabinet. Sigh. It’s how we learn..... More people need to watch this video! I’ve seen some awfully scary snake pits of wiring sitting on floors far too close to aquariums...😱

Bring us more videos not as crappy as cable management? I really liked this video. You gave me some ideas that will help me not have to spend a hundred dollars on high dollar mounts! I truly appreciate it Cam!

Lol, that job took me hours, I was totally over it by the end. I actually think the video came up ok, I just didn’t like making this one😂 Cam

Well I think it was an aquarium based video that is extremely helpful and outside the box. I for one appreciate your effort and attention to detail. 👍

Thanks Dan. It’s something I’m forcing myself to get better at doing. As painful as it is, the end result is worth it. Cam

Hi Cam great video you can zig zag the cable inside the ducting so that you don't have extra cable to deal with
@GalleryAquaticaTV5 жыл бұрын
Yes, I normally do that. In this case the number of cords made it difficult to fit in the ducting, which was very frustrating. Cam

Yeh that is some nasty crazy nightmare cable issue. I hope someone puts a reef tank in my retirement village when I get there. Great to see Ai in use :) I favour over ecotech , more bang for your buck and control is great. You should do a review on your lighting installs and how you have found Ai.

I’m a big fan of AI lights and I use them more than others. However the choice of lighting comes down to a number of considerations, and I still often sell radions to people who like the fact that their wavemakers and return pump can integrate with the lighting. Cam

@@GalleryAquaticaTV Over here in South Africa you can get most of the rare stuff from electrical distributors I picked up from working in the it field. Lots of that stuff you battle to find at normal hardware stores.
