Great feature wish, definitely! While it's not exactly the same, for now you can add variation via automating parameters such as the pitch, filter, decay, .. Also if you set Dynamics to be other than 100% it does not follow the transient's volume exactly, which also creates some variation.
@Phadddy2 ай бұрын
....ooooor have Shaperbox behind it with slowly sound changing presets...why can't it be part of Shaperbox, so you can offer modulating presets? I guess in that case it needs to be on a return track to not affect the original.

The type of plugin other companies would sell for $149. Instant purchase. This is a huge time saver. Cableguys you generous madlads. May I add a request: Give us a function to trigger the snapback layer for only every other hit.
@Cableguys2 ай бұрын
There's a few ways to trigger only every other hit: - Automate snapback or transient on/off. - Duplicate your audio track, remove eg. every other snare in your copy and route the copy to Snapback's sidechain input. - Use Snapback's MIDI Out (in its Trigger panel), record the MIDI notes, remove the notes you don't want, and then set up Snapback to work on MIDI notes.
@johndozesoph41362 ай бұрын
at that point though, and with all those tremendously silly workarounds to try and still justify your plugins existence, you may as well have just did the whole thing in audio....i could probably put together an entire 16-32 bar sequence with reverse bits and pre-transients placed where i want them to be rather than every single hit ,before i worked around all that to get them to be where i wanted them to be. You don't see how this is a very roundabout solution that adds extra steps that nobody needed until they took purchase of this plugin? ShaperBox gets daily use here, but this plugin is daft to be completely honest with you
@BlackAera2 ай бұрын
@@Cableguys Automation would require more manual work, which this plugin seeks to remove. Duplicating the track would also require a duplicate mixer channel, one with Snapback and one without and iirc Snapback adds latency. Not sure if I want to include such a setup into my workflow. If I use the MIDI trigger option, will Snapback still work as intended and respect my phase and time stretching settings? It only adds latency to the mixer channel but not the MIDI track used to trigger it right? Shouldn't Snapback be delayed then if I use a MIDI track that's not going into the same mixer channel as let's say the kick drum I manually tuned, phase flipped and time shifted to work perfectly with the transient layer? Jesus my head is spinning. Can't you just think about adding this teeny tiny built in feature to save us from all these extra steps and considerations? After allSnapback is supposed to make stuff easier for us right? Might as well make it more feature packed to solve common issues for different genres.
@Cableguys2 ай бұрын
@@BlackAera @johndozesoph4136 Sure, having this built-in into Snapback would be even better, I agree to that! For now you can use my proposed workarounds, or you can simply do it without Snapback right in your DAW. Sometimes Snapback will still be faster despite the workaround - e.g. for finding the right moment for the trigger, for aligning the phase (in Detail mode), or for browsing snapback sounds without the need to manually align each sound. Sometimes doing it directly in your DAW will be faster. We just provide options.
@kxng72072 ай бұрын
I say this as politely as I can but both of you guys are being brats to be honest. These workarounds are already less time and work than doing this manually. It’s one thing to make a recommendation for future updates/versions but to criticize the plugin because it didn’t cater exactly to your needs is bratty
