What type of brush did you use to apply the epoxy? I have made mugs and my next step is epoxy just don’t know how to apply it to the outside without visible brush strokes

Is it a single coat of resin? tried it and the top edge is absorbing too much resin, had to recoat that part but it's hard not to get droplets or marks forming.

two or three light coats is better than trying for one thick coat. Takes longer but makes for better results

Actually you made a Tankard not a Stein. Tankards are made of wood where as STEINS are make of Ceramic, Stone or Porcelain
