Awesome channel! I'm actually heading to Cabo end of this year for some surf fishing myself! Will definitely swing by your shop for some lures. And if you don't mind me asking, what pound test should I gear up for braided line? I usually go with 20-30 lb test, but for Cabo would you recommend more? 40 perhaps?

Yes, we have 2 tackle stores in the area, one in Cabo and one in San Jose, we have all the tackle you need in stock, travel rods, reels, line, lures etc etc.

Thanks very much for this Stephen! I've discovered a few of these spots through trial/error myself but super cool to have a map to follow next time. I've been to your store in Cabo a couple of times and have great luck with your lures not just in Mexico, but in far off places like Thailand too. Hey Mr. Jansen ! You were very cool to me and my Dad when we went down to Cabo…. You hooked us up with Mart’en ( I’m sure I spelled it wrong )for a fishing guide. He was a nice guy and tried real hard to find the Roosters ✅ Thanks again and will definitely see you next time in Cabo 🤘🏻🤘🏻❗️ I hope you don’t mind me asking, but me and my father were having a debate, my Dad thinks you are originally from the Midwest, I thought the Netherlands … am I right ❔ Haha, Thanks again my friend, you’re shop was the highlight of the trip ! Great info Stephen and your stores look very well stocked and organized. I applaud your background story and how your long journey to Baja even came to be. I can relate to the Gene Kira Baja Catch adventures, that book was a surf fishing fantasy to read and an unknown frontier to explore for me but you've been living it. I am gonna be in cabo August. What’s my chances of catching a rooster fish if I bring my own gear and fish in the surf? I won’t have a lot of time because our stop will be from a cruise ship.

Not great, in August the fishing will be just north of Cabo, you would need a car or guide to take you there. Also, if you are on a cruise ship, you'll come in in the bay, not really any place to fish there that's good.
