Por el momento son rentadas, pero esperemos pronto ver maquinas nuevas en la flota de ferromex hay rumor de que ya se vienen nuevas locomotoras pero el tiempo nos contestara esa pregunta, saludos!

NS must have cancelled their order late, seeing a NS first aid kit.............

Yep, NS pulled there orders for AH’s and decided to buy brand new Ace’s instead. They didn’t want any of the tier 4 emissions so they payed a fine to the government and bought new tier 3 Ace units instead. A few of the AH units were built for NS before they canceled the order.

Finally these things actually get a proper use. Hopefully Ferromex keeps them longer than CSX.

It wasn't a problem with the engines it was just their 4 year lease time was up

The reason why CSX got rid of them is because they were on lease from EMD on a 4 year contract. Same for Ferromex, I don’t think they bought these either to my knowledge… if I remember correctly these are on lease to ferromex as well. I do know all of CSX’s AH units got changed into PRLX insignia and where immediately sent to Ferromex as well as there other AH units on lease. I do wish more Class 1’s would buy them, they’re some of my favorite locomotives

@@TrainsAreReallyCool they are really cool tbh. But you aren’t 100 wrong tho because these tier 4’s are really shtty reliability wise. Both CSX and BNSF don’t like them whatsoever… BNSF regrets buying a decent amount of ET44AH’s and CSX said the sd70AH’s had engine problems because of the Emissions systems. But yea mainly it was just due to the lease being up… and a bit of maintenance headaches. So you’re definitely not 100 wrong tho

those look like they could be testing for NS, they are black and are 72XX number series

They were originally ordered by NS a few years ago but then NS canceled the order, they were left in NS black paint but without any logos and are now used by EMDX as leasers
