I am waiting for the organic cacao , unprocessed ,I am excited to try the cacao ceremony as well This lady is very right about the importance of blood oxygenation because I am doing WIM HOF breathing exercises with cold water bath and is soo powerful. This is beautiful Florencia. It is a well balanced presentation of information for the length. I feel like the title is a bit misleading though. It doesn't actually talk directly about the origin of cacao ceremonies but instead shows a Mayan fire ceremony that is incorporating cacao. It leads to an assumption that this is a cacao ceremony, when in fact it is a fire ceremony that is used for many different purposes and can include the honoring and consumption of cacao. From conversations with Daniel Garcia (El Suchi) who directed this, as he went deeper into his investigations to discover the "authentic Mayan cacao ceremony", he wasn't able to find one. It all led him back to Keith, an American based in Guatemala who started doing cacao ceremonies on his porch a few decades ago. I think it would be nice to give more clarity to this since there is so much confusion around the history of cacao in a ceremonial context. Maybe you could even just write something in the description?

In Guatemala I can buy cacao that is labeled ceremonial cacao and is made in San Pedro, or I can buy cacao that is labeled DONA ANDREA, and is made in Xela. The cacao made in San Pedro is about six times as expensive as the cacao made in Xela. I think that nutritionally the two cacaos are identical, so I am confused as to which I should buy. If the price was identical I would buy the cacao made in San Pedro, but I am not at all sure if it is really worth paying six times as much as the Xela cacao. I would appreciate any advise (opinion) anyone can give me. If I bought the cheaper cacao made in Xela, I would definitely be using more of it each week.
