The bird knows cats lick! The bird licks the cats ears. The ears must have an interesting scent. Then the bird offers himself and then his foot for grooming by the cat. Cat wondered what the bird was doing, lol ! Cute video!

There's a very good reason cats and birds should be keept apart .Now matter how well behaved they are cats have bacteria on their claws which is deadly to birds . It only takes one play full clawing and you could have a very very sick bird.

Yes or septic before dawn, this will kill even a healthy bird overnight literally. Once I saved a baby quail that had been separated from the covey by a domestic cat, and once I saved the little guy from being played to death, I examined him and found him to have several scratches from said cat under his feathers on his chest. Since I know strep is the most likely bacteria on cat claws AND I had my dental premed, amoxicillin on hand, my toxicologist husband estimated the dose for me and then how much weight he was and told me to die vide the powder in the capsule into 27 parts. I did this with a flat head toothpick. I would use my mg scale today but I didn’t have it back then. I fed each dose to Mr Quailly for a 7 days. Then my Audubon neighbor set ought to keep an eye out for a quail family so we could reunite him with his family. One day she came round the corner in her tiny car and yelling the quail are here! So I fetched Mr Quailly in his box and started running up to the yard they were in. I scooped him up and rushed him luck stuffing him through the gap in the fence. I saw him run off with the group. 😊😎💖
