What the hell... add my sister to me and my dad and you get my exact memory as well. I wasn't older than 6. We would start dancing faster as the music started to speed up. Dad made us laugh so hard.. he passed last year, still miss him.

@@nina.k666 I'm sorry to hear about your dad passing away, how old was he? That's a lovely memory you will treasure, your dad making you laugh so much! We forget how much older they are than us, so time is short with them. I hope you are a fun dad, and do similar fun things with your kids, they'll remember those times more. God bless you.

@@hideouslyugly Thank you so much! He was 65, full of life, so his death took us all by surprise. He was a neurosurgeon and caught covid in January 2021 - it's first strain, the deadliest one. He lost his life trying to help people in need. I won't be a fun dad unfortunately but maybe one day I'll be a fun mom instead :) I'm in med school as well, hopefully I'll help people as much as he did. God bless you too.

Been trying to find these guys since I was a kid. Almost broke out in tears hearing it. Saw them long ago when my mom invited them to play in our town fest. Was the best ever hearing it in person, danced my ass off in the park with them as a kid. I’ve listened to a ton of pan and Andes music but they take it to a whole new level of traditional and breaking the boundaries of instruments use. Absolutely love these guys 💞

Same here, you won't believe how long it's taken me to find this (or maybe you would). I remember it from the 70's, but didn't know the title or artist names, all I could remember was the tune. I've been dredging through pan pipe videos for years and FINALLY ... just found it! In the process however, I have come across tons of other cool pan pipe tracks, so the search was well worth all the time.

Omg same. Forgot about it as I knew it when I was a kid and couldn't remember it till recently. I couldn't stop crying for the like the whole evening. 🙈 I feel this track speaks to my soul. ❤️ Something very spiritual and beautiful about the whole thing. It reminds me that we are all together; humanity needs to be united.

Can't believe it! This song has been popping up in my head from time to time for decades now, and I never knew how to search for it once google became a thing. Today the tune popped into my head yet again and I found it unbearable thinking that I might never find it.... So, after a little bit of searching on google with terms like, 'Peruvian wind instruments' I saw the name Pan Flue and did the search 'famous 80's peruvian pan flute song'... And here it is. My god, you have no idea how much nostalgia this brings, or perhaps you do; it almost has me choking up. Probably haven't heard this since I was 11 or 12 years old; 51 now!

I've been looking for a couple of decades. Heard a dance mix version in the 90's which I think must have been 'just someone's' creation rather than a well known thing. Finally found the original and inspiration for the tune I heard long ago, which helps to tame the ear worm!

Kind of extraordinary that the only Andean music ever to chart in the UK was made by a bunch of session musicians working for Ballet Rambert. I remember them appearing on Top of the Pops as a kid and have always wondered how a much of bearded hippies ended up playing Andean. I think they actually sound quite authentic.
