Poor standard of driving and high level of aggression from both drivers! The Mega bus driver has a duty of care to his passengers though so should be looking at a desk job until he can learn to keep his cool!
@TheUkdan029 жыл бұрын
You undertook the bus and then brake checked him (we can see your brake lights in the reflection of the bus). That caused the bus driver to lose his temper and ram you off the road. Both idiots but you more so for playing chicken with the lives of up to 60 odd people on that bus.
@titansbike21509 жыл бұрын
+Chris Churchill You sir are a fool! By uploading this, you stand a very real chance of having the police knock on your door. Which I hope they do! Also hopefully after, they will drop past Megabus HQ and get the details of the coach driver and do the same. You should buy yourself a motorbike. It gives you a healthy respect for other vehicles. Even if other drivers are twats, you shouldn't play games with them. Honestly though, you should buy a motorbike. Darwinism has a way of weeding out drivers/riders like you guys!

He got sacked, the police blamed him. I'll let you watch the video again over and over until you figure it out.

+Chris Churchill Dude, just because he brake checked you doesn't make it right for you to do the same. Brake checking him only makes you as bad of a driver. Yes the bus driver is more in the wrong but flashing him once and waiting for him to move would have done the trick, instead you chose to leave your lights on and then undertake him. This only provoked him which caused his response. To be honest I think you deserved what you got. Plus your response to SalesDriven (above) show how little minded you are. Good day.
@FloidyHD8 жыл бұрын
+Chris Churchill Plus it's a 50MPH road. You have even said it your self in the comments! "It's a 50 mph zone you Numpty". YOU WERE DOING 50 BEHIND THE BUS! What's the point in angering him if you're not getting anywhere by overtaking or in this case undertaking.

Hi buddy. I'm a PCV Coach driver and I watched your video from start to finish. Sorry mate but your BOTH at fault there. He shouldn't have cut infront of you so closely. You shouldn't have retaliated by slowing down and 'Brake testing' that said I'm not going to stick up for him just because he's a PCV. A lot of these 'Megabus', 'National express' or 'Oxford tube' so called charter bus "Coach drivers" are reckless compared to us private hire coach drivers who do holidays and tours. They do some awful things to us too and don't think because they are fellow vehicles they don't treat us like shit either. They give us all a bad name and they cause car and van drivers to class us in the same bracket as them so they think ALL coaches are bad drivers. I've never done charter express PCV work in and out of city centre bus stations so I have no idea what their roles entale and what sort of timetables they run. It's sad that they drive like this and they cut us up and shave our wing mirrors off too. Trouble is you guys in cars see an 11ft coach infront of you with curtains swinging about and when it's behaving badly we are all to blame. Not all of us are like it. Safe driving!
@Flossie19859 жыл бұрын
After the collision when you both stopped, how did the conversation with the coach driver go?
@cachurchill769 жыл бұрын
He was very submissive and that helped a great deal as I was going to be not so plesent. he saved himself further bother and me more trouble. I have to credit him for that. but he lied to his friends and they launched the attack on me that's why I uploaded the full video. his friends keep posting on here as you can see.
@Flossie19859 жыл бұрын
Chris Churchill Obviously a guy with a quick temper who calms down when he's had chance to think about what he's done. It was a stupid thing to do and he's only himself to blame for losing his job over a brief temper tantrum. He's not someone who should be in charge of a coach on the road though because that could have been much worse. If you hadn't had the dashcamera he could have just said he moved over without seeing you as you were passing him on the inside. I once thought my time was up on the M6 around Birmingham when traffic slowed but a National Express coach driver coming up behind me didn't. He veered into the outside lane at the last second, but that was just inattention rather than willful aggression.
@hothatchfan4728 жыл бұрын
both drivers have the incorrect attitude to drive safely. They are both as bad as each other. After watching the whole video I can see that the car driver following the bus was driving well leaving a good separation distance for long periods of time he however then got impatient and closed that distance and flashed his very bright full beam headlights at him for no reason at all. other than him being impatient and wanting the bus to pull over so he could overtake. But the bus drivers reaction was terrible. And I personally don`t want to meet either of those drivers on a road near me.
@mattGla10878 жыл бұрын
what did the bus driver say/act like when he stopped?
@StagecoachMANALX3006 жыл бұрын
You are both to blame! You for undertaking then brake checking, NEVER EVER do that with a coach or heavier vehicle. The stopping distance required is much greater than cars, most car drivers seem to forget about this. Bus driver for speeding, passenger safety should have been his priority.

There is no excuse for using a passenger carrying vehicle as weapon. I assume bus driver was fired and hopefully prosecuted.

you were driving far to close to that bus,plus the fact you overtook him on the left lane,if the bus was hogging the outside lane,you should have just been patient and kept your distance,and waited,i am not defending the bus driver,but I think you have a cheak posting video when your not in the right yourself
@cachurchill768 жыл бұрын
Hi Steven, if you watch I did wait and at a good distance. The proximity was not an issue until he moved over, and then deliberately moved back across with still a clear lane to his left with a deliberate attempt to cause an impact. As annoying as being flashed out of the way is, it does not warrant this. He then slowed me down to 40 mph. I went around him on the left to remove myself from his actions. I then (in my opinion, the only real thing I did wrong) braked to arrest my over speed and then further slowing him back down to 40 mph even though it was clear that he was attempting to accelerate to cause and obstruction before the next slip road. I then returned to 50 mph and carried on for some distance. In that period he put his lights on full beam and "hunted me down". There is no cheek in posting this video. The bus driver lied to his friends and his employer as to my actions and the nature of how we came together. It was the bus company employees "calling me out" on the alterations to the truth he gave that prompted me to upload the lot. There is not right here, it's a lesson in defensive driving. I was "right" enough to not get any actions taken against me. He however lost his job and a great deal of his friends. No winners here... Drive Safe guys.
@TheXDEACONx9 жыл бұрын
I have watched the video multiple times and see fault in both drivers however is one a public servant and responsible for their passengers and gets paid for this duty. For this alone the bus driver should be held to a higher standard however both should admit their both perspective faults. But in this bus driver( professional driver that gets paid) should be laid off and possible compensation to other commuter and passengers for stess of the entire ordeal. Dave is a sheep lover
@hothatchfan4728 жыл бұрын
I agree Bus driver should be sacked.He should not have reacted to the car drivers actions in the way that he did. He initially did nothing wrong at all when the car driver was bullying him with full beam headlights. But his reaction to that was incorrect he should have just ignored i and concentrated on driving safely and not get involved in this whole silly aggressive driving stuff.
@1ns4ne1d10t4 ай бұрын
@@TheXDEACONx Both drivers have a duty not to drive like a pair of (Excuse my French) weather that's professional or car. One isn't any more accountable than the other. The comment that the driver should be laid off and personally pays out compensation to other commuters for "Stress" and an "Ordeal" is a real idiotic and stupid remark because if the coach broke down and it wasn't the drivers fault you'd get exactly the same problem until the next coach relieves them. But they would never hold the driver accountable for that anyway. They couldn't afford to compensate 53-92 people put of their own personal pocket.

did anyone actually notice the bus was in the outside lane doing 43 mph on a 70 mph with no vehicles to the left? no wonder the car driver got pissed off, bus driver was a twat to begin with, the car driver wanted to simply show the bus driver what he was doing wrong, having said that the bus driver should have been more responsible as a professional driver with a duty of care to his or her passengers

Most of the commenters are pissing me off!
@cachurchill768 жыл бұрын
+xpinkuimox Yep, but those that slate me and then condemn both actions are of sound mind. I'm no angel in this, my point is that his reaction, especially as he started it was WAAAY over the top. When you undertook the bus why didn't you just continue with your journey? Why did you feel the need to brake check the driver? You deserve to have your licence taken away. +Getaway Turtle Ummm? How much further back can the footage actually go?
@wagmiorngmi9 жыл бұрын
+Chris Churchill Hmm. Fair enough, happy to hold my hand up and apologise! BUT! While I am in agreement with you about him unnecessarily hogging lane 2 after the last car overtake, he did move over after your 2nd light flash but then you completely failed to do anything with your now empty lane 2 and just sat there matching his speed. There was no immediate need for him to pull back out and that seems rather odd behaviour, but you doing him up the inside, swerving into lane 2 in front of him and then easing off/brake-testing him (it's clear your bled speed because the distance between you and the car in lane 1 ahead increases) makes you no better than him. If you were in that much of a rush to be past him, why did you then slow down once in front of him to the point where he overtakes you again? A completely pointless exercise that resulted in a lot of avoidable aggro but this is what happens when two dickheads meet. You're both as bad as each other, sorry.
@cachurchill769 жыл бұрын
+Getaway Turtle I completely agree I should of just sat behind him and waited but I'd already waited and just thought he'd not seen me. As for not making progress, I made my way back up to 53 mph to make the over take thinking he may speed up a few mph but he waited for me to get next to the rear of the bus then pulled out. I did not take off like a fool after he moved over because it's a 50mph zone. As for the slowing down after I moved around him, I should have stuck to my initial slow down to 50. My anger made me take him to down to the 40mph he was doing before I moved around him. The lesson, drive defensively and sit and wait.
@wagmiorngmi9 жыл бұрын
+Chris Churchill Yeah, tbh I don't even bother flashing lane hoggers now, I just do them up the inside and get my toe down, it's less aggro that way. Flashing at them usually results in brake-testing and all that crap.
@cachurchill769 жыл бұрын
+Getaway Turtle in this case it could have been deadly for my wife and the poor passengers on that bus. In my defence I was not to know he was a complete psychiatric case. As I don't like going over the speed limit for any reason (I know I broke that rule going under him, but that was just physics I had to) I'll not do the under and boot routine. I should have just carried that momentum forward from when I changed lanes back in front. We thankfully, live and learn.
