I lived in Chiapas for a few months while attending a Spanish language class. I wish I had known it was that easy to cross into Guatemala. The heat was fierce in April with humidity close to 100%. I stayed with a local Mexican family that treated me like their own. I currently live in Aguascalientes and own a nice collection of succulents and cacti.

10:28 it's a helmeted, or casque-headed, iguana I think. They have many names like smooth helmeted, elegant helmeted, lol. But it's Latin name is Corytophanes cristatus.

Speaking of lichen and fungi on your journey, the helmeted iguana apparently sits still for such lengthy periods, that the lichens, algae and fungi become epiphytic on the iguana! Much like algae and moss on sloths, being so slow. Everything's an epiphyte at some point i swear

It’s crazy to see so many varieties of plants living in proximity that we have as house plants. Most of which I wouldn’t have thought live together based on how I see them used in gardens and homes. So cool.

The leafless orchid you found at the beginning at the base of the Agave is Sacoila lanceolata. It develops large, leathery basal leaves after its done flowering. This species also ranges into Florida here in the US.
