Ok gave up on the degaussing coil to fix my Trinitron’s color issue but FINALLY found the easiest fix with taping about 2-3 small neodymium bars to the side did the trick. It looks a little tacky to have magnets taped to the bezel but i’ll take that over color impurities anyday. The trick is to find the exact angle and position to clear as much of the color patch as possible

I've done that before. You should try opening up the case and gluing the magnets to the tube. Probably need weaker magnets. I'm going to make a degauss coil in the next few weeks. Any advice?

@@riggel8804 i bought the green chinese degaussing wand on ebay but its pretty underpowered. I then tried a higher end one which is an actual coil and that also didn’t work… when i turn the tv on, i hear the internal degauss coil humming and it doesnt clear the color patch so i am 95% sure its an impact damage to the aperture grille. The magnets worked and i may try taping it internally just so they are out of sight

Yoooooo! Slowly working on a fighter clear on the US rom hardest. Excited to listen to this :') I've learned that doing an up-attack and jumping to keep my sword out is great for harpies. Also, you can jump into the ceiling on the second little manticore and down attack to kill it in one strike. (Is it a manticore? The lion guys.) PS The bone pile in stage one is a secret I think! the "normie bullshit" line cracked me up. I love y'alls vibe

Always cool to meet a fellow cadash player. I want to keep playing the game and I think I'm going to try with ninja next. The game has a lot if replayability with all the different versions and players. Thanks for the tips. Let me know if you want to try a 2player 1cc on Fightcade2 with me.

Hey I just picked up a 27” Zenith flat CRT from offerup for $20 and its in fantastic condition. Looks like another trinitron clone from the early to mid 2000s. Are you familiar with the Zenith C27F33? As far as I can tell, the build and specs are about identical to a standard WEGA KV series model. It has great colors and average geometry, as I expected from a flat CRT.

27 inch is a fun size. I've never seen a zenith. Does it have component?

@@riggel8804 yeah component, s-video, two composite RF and audio… pretty standard for that crt type of the early 2000s. Colors look good, bit of a tilt issue but looks like the TROT setting in the service menu will take care of that

Thanks! She wants to do another with me so it will happen. We are kind of a odd couple. On paper we shouldn't be compatible but we make each other laugh constantly which really helps.
