Thank you for the video. Is there a way to convert non-flat but rounded faces?

Hello, Could you please make a video for drawing of alumınıum composite material ? This will really help me . ACM is a little bit different from the sheet metal as known.

Good work!!! We also have rich experience in sheet metal fab, we are a strong manufacturer in China, with high quality and competitive price.

What if you wanted all the faces to be individual 2D parts for getting cut from sheet goods? Not bent, but cut as flat parts so they can be welded/soldered/glued together depending on the material.
@Swaminathan0074 жыл бұрын
You can save part as DXF file format, for that cutting operation can be done.

How would you actually form this part on a press brake? It doesn't look possible as too many closed faces?
@KISSMYACE32034 жыл бұрын
45* end first, the 2 long sides at edges of die, then 90* end last with super short die. I'm not a press brake operator but that's how I'd attempt to do it.

@@KISSMYACE3203 Too many closed faces. Only way to fold this is to introduce a slim slot along the bend lines of the two small tabs and then easy fold the part and weld/dress as a second op, but this would be pointless as it makes unnecessary sheet yield shapes and without a deep goose neck it would be needlessly awkward to fold anyway. Fold as a tray and weld a plate to the top. Simple.

You don't. You form it with dies on a progressive stamping machine. Easy-peasy. Not all designs are manufacturable without special tooling, but with large enough volumes, intricate tooling is justified.
