For splitting front shock from hub I usually screw the bolt back in the threaded side 1st and put a piece if flat bar in the small gap at back of the hub. Tighten the bolt onto the flat bar and it opens the gap easily and there's less chance of your style tool slipping out.👍
@YTDTETV2 жыл бұрын
Hey Kevin that is a very good idea I will use that in the future 👍 vag hubs don’t have thread in the hub but many do so thank you for the tip 👍👍

@@jcstuningltd I have KESS 👍 i don’t do remaps for customers I just brought it for my own cars. It’s the 2.0BKD TDI and blew the standard turbo today literally driving round the block 🙈. I’ve got a ARL PD 150 turbo in the workshop that slightly better than the one on it now. I’m fitting the same turbo I did to my golf on the caddy in a few months GTB1756vk. It’s running a FADR map and it’s really good. If you would be happy to write a map for me I’d be over the moon and will give you a massive shout out in the video. You can buy darkside development shackle kit and will save time welding and won’t have to take the whole axle off plus also have the option of going back to complete stock

Hi Owen yes I’ve seen the bolt on kits but they move a lot, mine are welded solid and cost nothing. Thanks for the comment 👍

been running the darkside kit for over 60000km now and still flawless, but ofc free is always nice :) the bolt on kit just save alot of time , especially for people who dont have access to a welder ( Darkside kit in the back, TA coils in front , 2013 ED30 ) @@YTDTETV

Thank you Nigel, I randomly do long distance trips either picking stuff up, visiting relatives, fishing trips so when the time comes I want to jump straight in what ever vehicle I’m using at the time and know it’s going to make it there and back. With regards to styling yes I’ve seen a few caddy’s that are abit over done I just want the slightly pimped original look.

Mate, if you had bought the spring saddles from Retrofication as well, you would have saved a lot of faffing about. Also with the new saddles you can fit them in situ, they also have an offset on the that the originals do not have so the axle sits central in the arch. Oh and the design of the new saddles means that the shock bolts fit straight in without any cutting or messing about.
@YTDTETV Жыл бұрын
Hey bud it cost me nothing to do that just my time 👍 my wheels sit central aswel. Thanks for the comment 👍
