@YTDTETV Жыл бұрын
Hey Mike your right it was an absolute shed, so there’s plenty of caddies out there but I didn’t have a massive budget and I wanted AC and electric windows etc and this one fit the bill but it was hanging everywhere. Hope you enjoy the videos mate and thank you for your comment 👍

Epic work DT. Getting the van ship shape was one thing, converting to rear seats takes it to another level

Big thumbs up and thank you for the video. Your Caddy is completely unrecognisable compared to how it was. It was properly hanging when you bought it, but it's now mint inside and out. Very few people would have would have or could have achieved what you have done in such a short time frame. Full credit to you Dobbo.
@YTDTETV2 жыл бұрын
Karl thank you mate, some say it would have been easier to buy a different van but I really wanted air con and electric pack and most don’t have that. It was definitely in a state when I bought it but I persisted with it and I’m really happy how it’s turned out. I’ve done all this work and a mostly full time job behind the scenes in 7 weeks. Just need to lower it, add a few trims to the outside and the engine swap. Always really appreciate your comments 👍👍👍

That’s an incredible amount of work going into this Caddy. I want to know a final build cost estimate for this when it’s finished with your hours costed in at like a £25 to £50 per hour Labour rate
@YTDTETV2 жыл бұрын
It’s definitely taken a while B-ry, if I take into consideration human hours then it’s not worth building it, it would have been cheaper to go and buy one. You never include man hour costs with something like this, I’m £3k in cash into it and the repaint alone is another £3k let alone the engine swap, I’ve seen on Facebook posts it’s £1500 for the rear seat conversion. Brian you remember your Suzuki swift? Definitely don’t include the man hours in these builds 😂
@brianstorm48062 жыл бұрын
@@YTDTETV Yeah of course you won’t count your hours when you’re looking at what it costs you but it would be interesting to add it all up as if you were going bill somebody for doing it at a standard hourly rate
@YTDTETV2 жыл бұрын
@@brianstorm4806 yep ok B-Ry I’m with ya. So the paint job is easily £3k and as mentioned the rear seat conversion is around £1500, it’s gota be around the £2k mark for supply and fit the engine and gearbox I have with ecu etc, lowering the van has to be £750 inc parts, then last job is board and carpet line the rear that’s gota be £500, then the price of the van £1000. A few other small bits and it could be £10k a customer would have to pay 😮. At the moment it owes me £3k so it’s a nice saving if you can do all the work yourself.
