Loved Rodney all my life, his is such a bummer story, especially since he didn't break out in comedy until he was like 50. I've seen just about everything he has done and his Johnny Carson interviews and love it. Kool Kid Kameron sir might be right that it hasn't aged well, but 1967 _was_ a long time ago and we had more cerebral comedians like Hicks and Carlin. The era of good one liners probably got overly abused when every action movie had to have them in the 80s and early 90s. Still, huge fan, was legitimately bummed out that he died when he did and the way he died. Surgical complications happen so easily when you're that old and out of shape.

So many great lines and moments. Another film that comes close to this humor would be Monty Python and The Holy Grail!!!! Two amazing funny films that I could keep watching over and over and still laugh. Close Third just throwing out their is Peter Sellers in Pink Panther Strikes Again. That brings memories! My dad had recorded Caddyshack on VHS and me+brother watched the pool scene in a loop, laughing our asses off. For some reason, that movie was dubbed in our Quebec's French dialect instead of international French which is far more common. The dubbed little girl screaming "doodie!" (translated in our slang) is pure gold.
