Just been watching your roach trip on the ribble and remember you making a comment about the flow being all over the place, with fishing the river for over 40yrs the tide depending on the size can effect the flow up to the deeps ,just a thought

Like curly whirleys, wagon wheels and Cadbury cream eggs, fish seemed much much bigger when I fished at church deeps as a kid in the 70s 👍

What is Bolo ? Before I emigrated to Canada in 81 I used to fish the Ribble east of the Tickled Trout.

The video exactly shows it...but in summary it's basically using a purpose designed bulbous bodied float on a long rod with the weight down near the bottom of the rig. Derives its name from Bolognese style Italians use

There is a lot of terminology that has changed. I used to fish in the UK in the 60's and 70's. I had no idea what a wafter, an F1, or a method feeder was. I found out recently on KZbin.

Oh gosh! Do you have to take fish to dry hand and then trow her like stone as far as possible? In my country, it's reason to quit your fisherman licence. Yes, you think, you are better than this small fish, you are worthy at least whale or submarine. but how will big fish grow, if you are killing the small?
