I have been using a Cadex Guardian Lite for my sniper rifle at work. Everything prior to it was a Remington factory or custom built. The Guardian Lite is in a whole different league! The action is like a Swiss watch, butter smooth, and feeding is nothing like a Remington. Those are like dragging a grand piano across a gravel road. Best investment I ever made. With the Schmidt & Bender scope, Spuhr scope mount, and factory Federal it’s a .400 MOA rifle. It will probably shoot tighter then that. My skills just aren’t that good.

Yes you CAN change the bolt nob. It is threaded at the top.
@minutesandmils3466 Жыл бұрын
I personally change the height of my cheekpiece on a minute-by-minute basis. As you go further out, and you find yourself having to dial more and more correction into the turret, the lenses within the scope move in relation to each other and you find that the exit pupil/eyebox comes out the ocular at a different angle, which necessitates a different cheekpiece height in order to achieve perfect parallax-free eye placement. For this reason I use a Magpul PRS stock where the height is adjustable via a thumbwheel with detents for reference. This probably isn't an issue if you are holding-off in the reticle rather than dialing.

Greetings from England...really nice good looking Rifle and good review as usual, would be good to see more groups with it, some long range shootings...is this an Atlas Bipod with some sort of Arca Swiss adapter on it? I am just wondering if I can retrofit my atlas with an ARCA Swiss adapter, what is the brand and model? Thanks Rafael

Is that a clamp on muzzle brake. What do you think about clamp on muzzle brakes? Witt machine specifically. Really don't have the money to have my barrel threaded. Nor do I know a gun smith I trust to do it. But the witt seem s to look hood sense its built specifically to your barrel detentions.
@PrecisionRifleNetwork4 жыл бұрын
I personally don't have a problem with clamp on's, as long as they don't disturb barrel harmonics. Problem is, the only way to know for sure it to buy one and test it out.

An awesome video. I have the same chassis that my remington 700 SPS tactical AAC in 308 with 20 inch heavy barrel sitting on it. Don't like the fact that my barrel is too short. Was wondering if i order the longer barrel 24 inch and sheepdog action from cadex with Remington 700 footprint, they will fit my chassis. basically if i can turn it into the CDX-R7 and still would be able to collapse the stock ? TIA

Just purchased a R7 rifle on the nuke evo chassis, very excited. How would you compare the quality of the action to a “custom” one such as your Terminus? I read your previous comment about the Tikka being smoother which is understandable since the melt a stick of butter on those when they ship them out. Thanks!
@PrecisionRifleNetwork3 жыл бұрын
that's a tough one... the terminus is smoother for sure, similar to the tikka. The durability is probably similar on both. I'm really not sure other than that. sorry I can't be more help.

Honestly I used to not like them at all. I thought they caught on everything and were basically pointless. Now I love them. I like that no matter what surface I'm shooting on, they typically dig in and help me control the rifle.

how do you like the cadex riggger comparing to triggertech if you have one ?
@PrecisionRifleNetwork4 жыл бұрын
It's really similar actually. The Trigger Tech adjusts down to a lower weight though. 1.5lbs on the Cadex is the lowest I believe - Ryan might chime in and prove me wrong on that. The Trigger Tech goes down to 4oz or something insane like that. I run my comp trigger at 1lb. Honestly most people can't feel the difference between a 1lb and 2lb trigger. I don't think the heavier pull holds the Cadex back at all. Still shoots light out.
@martingagnon45474 жыл бұрын
First stage is 8oz and second stage goes down to 1lbs, for a total weight of 1.5 lbs minimum. I also have a triggertech special set at 1 lbs… but I prefer the Cadex because of the 2 stages… shoe is also adjustable in ''LOP'' so you can set your 90 degree trigger finger.
@PrecisionRifleNetwork4 жыл бұрын
@@martingagnon4547 Great. Thank you!
@frankyee39114 жыл бұрын
The problem I have is that the combination of cadex chassis and triggertech make the trigger hard to be reached comfortably. From the back of the grip to the trigger, it’s about 1/2” longer than Surgeon CSR which use AI chassis. It doesn’t sound lot but feels really hard to reach the trigger. I also called triggertech to see if they will make some more curved trigger shoes. I was told that will be depended on the market requests and they have received a few calls about this issue all related to Cadex chassis.
