2.0T LTG ATS- I have one question should the second portion of the reservoir be filled? my top portion is filled like it’s supposed to but the bottom section is empty. The car never over heats same fluid is there every day, though after driving it does bubble a lot 🤷♂️runs good though.

I have a question when you change the antifreeze reservoir to a new one do you have to take it to a mechanic so they can adjust the pressure of the antifreeze? Or can you just replace the reservoir and run it like normal?
@automotivetech-vet Жыл бұрын
Just replace and top off with new 50 50 mix

@@automotivetech-vet when my car broke down I was driving and the tip of the reservoir broke so it threw out all the antifreeze I think when it broke it caught air don’t I gotta take out that air ?

You replaced the hose reverse from the way it came off as far as radiator and manifold connections. Guess it probably does not matter, just follows the curves of the other parts better.

Can I add coolant in my reservoir with a funnel to bleed it out while the engine is running? I don’t have that fancy funnel you have. Or can I add it in the radiator? I’m about to replace my upper hose and I look pretty low on coolant

My son's new 2014 ats started to over heat this evening. Do you think this could be the problem? We just got him this car almost 13 grand pristine condition. Now, this happened and I hope nothing serious is wrong with it. I will have him look at this tomorrow to see if this could be why it's starting to over heat?
@automotivetech-vet Жыл бұрын
Very possible but if it is low on antifreeze it will overheat also make sure the cooling fans are coming on

Yes when your heater starts blowing hot and no air bubbles your good to block off funnel and put cap on reservoir

Been looking everywhere. What is the hose called in the back of the tank/reservoir with the connection, i think the textured looking hose is the vacuum hose, the hose your changing is inlet hose. But what the big hose in the back side of the tank called?

Reservoir outlet hose I'm pretty sure

@@dennybohan8455 not a bad idea, if you pull the hose from the bottle u can take a pic and extract the oring inside and match it up with a new oring same size , most the time it's the oring that causes the seepage not the hose , hope that helps
