Cadillac Cat Removal

Thought the catalytic converter on the Cadillac might be clogged, so I removed it. Turns out, it's fine. So my hesitation and lack of power must be fuel related...

Those pumps should always be inspected and replaced. Their is a fat short piece of fuel line going from the pump to the sender/pickup. That piece of rubber will fail like it or not. Will crumble inside the tank and cause problems.

@The18Jake I'm hoping it's not the pump- don't want to drop the tank. Got the fuel filter to put on, and I need to finish installing the exhaust pipe, then we'll see how she runs...

@grimmthezombie I got rid of my hesitation with a fule filter replacement. But I'd like to pull the throttle body out and give it a good cleaning, maybe a rebuild...

i had an 83 elderado and after a year of weird hesitation we finally pulled the throttle body off the thing and pulled it apart from what i remember it has little screens over the injectors that were clogged and such and what not lol and we cleaned the bajeezes out of it i hear its a common problem for the ht4100 ater that it ran like a top that was my ht4100 story lol

Thats what I thought it was on my car at first. Turned out to be that the fuel pump was going bad,and finally did.

@pearsonba350 I went that way first too,got the filter in but it was the pump for me. The filter wasn't even clogged lol.

Hey man good video but what about o2 sensor where did you put it? did you have any problems with o2?

@The18Jake Just swapped in a new fuel filter. When I poured the gas out of it, it was mud brown. She's running pretty good right now. Gonna take it for a test drive, and I'm bringing the camera with, so you all can see!
