Cadillac CTS coupe- door button problem

I have a 2013 CTS Coupe. I want to verify that this video solved my problem and now my door works as if it was bought yesterday. I had trouble disconnecting some of the parts so it took me a bit longer. The only thing this video does not detail are the ways to release some of the pieces from other parts. However, once that was sorted the video was helpful to the end of the process

Simple easy to follow instructions. Even buying a brand new can of electrical cleaner it cost me less than five dollars to do this fix. To take to the Cadillac dealer I would’ve had to spend at least an hour which would’ve been $130 at shop rates. Thanks again.

It worked. Thanks! I also did it to the outside door handle. It was giving me some issues of not opening. took out the 2 screws, removed the handle, peeled back the plastic covering and surprised it was all green build up inside. used some alcohol and Q-tips. clean it up. and 100% operating again.

Also rubbing alcohol works instead of the electric spray. Just put some rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip and clean the sensors.

I did this to my car a few years ago and it was easy but just today I started having a problem when I close my door it won't stay shut Have you had this problem? I seen videos on fixing the latch with a screw driver but can't get mine to shut.

I ended up having to have the door latch assembly replaced on that door on my car. The part has a motor in it and it plugs in and is kind of hard to get to without taking apart a lot of stuff. There is a video that shows how to do it on here but I seen the labor that was involved and how cold it was at the time here and I decided to take it to a mechanic to have it replaced. If you type in 2011 Cadillac Cts Door Latch Assembly 2 Door it will show. It is a 38 minute video and that's what I needed them to do to fix the problem on mine

I don’t think the exterior button is possible to clean and repair. It’s a totally integrated circuit. It’s just like a corvette.. But the good news it shouldn’t be that expensive for a brand new one from the dealer. Give them a call. Don’t be scared. Lol. It’s only two screws and it comes right out

i just fixed my door button cleaned contacts it was a little tricky. i was afraid of breaking plug holder but i got it and it works great. thank you so much great video.. you saved me a few hundred dollars thanks again Angelo

my car door won't open from the inside button and from the outside pad. I completely replaced the inside button with a new one and it still makes a click sound with the window and doesn't open. What could be the issue?

Does it make that same noise when u try inside or out.? If you’re hearing something that means the switch is good and the issue could be the door lock latch assembly. Inside the door.
