Cadillac Xts alternator replacement

I just got a battery saver warning and then my xts died. I replaiced the battery, and drove it home. A few hours later I tried to drive it again, and it started to due the same way. From what I've read, it sounds like it's definitely the alternator. Thanks for posting this bro!

The tensioner pulley has a half inch square inside of it, I use a tensioner pulley tool. But you may be able to get a 1/2" ratchet long handle in there to release the tension.

How’d you get it pass that black radiator hose? You didn’t mention that one.
