These tutorials are incredibly clear and concise. I downloaded the trial AutoCAD 2 hours ago and I am already finishing my first floorplan thanks to you. Mr CAD in Black, you deserve a medal!

How do you go about determining the exact locations of stuff he skips over? Like when he draws the cutting lines for 2 or 3 of the doors and windows and then jumps forward and doesn't explain where exactly the rest of the lines go? I'm finding myself having to eyeball it most of the time.

I have a question, i only started learning recently, i noticed that the doors in the middle of the building, you picked a diffrent point from where your copy starts and that u also potitioned them diffrently. the left door is at the back of the opening, and the door on the right is at the front of the opening, if that makes sense. is there a reason for it? it's at 8:20

@lily2011uk4 жыл бұрын
Hello Sir, you videos are brilliant. I wonder is there any reasons why you didn't include the thickness of lineweights for walls, doors and windows? It would be great if you could provide us a recommendation of lineweights for each layer properties. Thank you. Have a great day:)

i don't understand, when you draw the circle for the door and you trim the two line at 5:26, how does that delete the other part of the circle, please help
@PhoeniXGuyzZ6 жыл бұрын
hi.....while using the TRIM command, 1 st we need to select the fence from which the reqd object to be trimmed (i.e here we can select the 2 perpendicular lines, no need to select the circle).... 2nd we need to select the object need to be trimmed....(i.e here we can select the circle remove area).. i hope it is clear....

Hi @CAD in Black can u explain me what exactly u did at 1:13 ? Thnks :-)
@CADinblack8 жыл бұрын
Yes. After having the walls I want to draw the doors in the drawing. The small lines that I draw after 1:13 are just a reference for putting the door there.
@CADinblack8 жыл бұрын
Although, you can still put the door directly in the wall section. without drawing that lines and triming (what I explain as "breaking" the wall). I just think the drawing is better presentable by doing this way
@JaySuminoE8 жыл бұрын
I dont know how I can define the distance to the point where I want to draw the door....I see that u did it somehow easily...
@CADinblack8 жыл бұрын
I think I understandnow. You have to go to OSNAP settings, switch on "extention" and "nearest" has to be switched off. Then you place your pointer over the corner, and start dragging down. Then you type the distance from the corner to the point you want to start the new line and press enter. Watch this video at 6:40 kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4Cqq5mVgt6ro8U&lc=z121ytsx1yyjf10es22fyvqyyu3ysdoup.

Also, if you are not very familiar with OSNAP you can watch this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qnO5dIKfjM55f8k

I have been following along but when it comes to the Trim section I wasnt able to deleted and the message is, "Does not intersect with cutting edge" I have went back and verified that he lines intersect. So this is very unusual. It would want to delete the entire offset wall that I have built up. Do you know what its doing this?
