One of the best steps to learning a new role is by playing the ones affected by it so I'm not surprised he's a great support. He knows what the ADC wants, when to engage, etc...

support isnt adcs bitch, so its not as simple as that, if he was spamming sona, millio, yuumi, soraka, then ye you could look at it that way, but support needs to understand vision, wavestates, roaming timers, how to execute roams, how to engage, when to engage, who to engage onto, who to play around etc. sure he knows what he is supposed to do in lane because he plays adc, but he needs to understand how to do everything else which takes up most of the skill as a support, and it seems that he is doing really well, but just saying that he knows what adc wants so he knows how to play support is kinda dumb.

You sound like the dime-a-dozen supports in gold you see in comment sections bitching about "always getting bad ADCs" meanwhile if you actually watch their VODs they are making a million lane mistakes that are griefing their ADCs ability to lane. There's a reason support is paired with marksmens bot and not mid or top. A massive part of the Support role's job is to get your ADC ahead and you do that by understanding your ADC's needs in that game, what the matchup is, when they need to base or push so they dont get froze on, etc.

Rekkles role swapping reminds me of Shroud changing to a more supportive role in CS. He's not allowed to function at the peaks we remember him to be at, but just him still being there is more than enough for me. I grew up with the old Fnatic in season 2-3 and it scares me that he's quite literally the last one left playing. I hope he finds success, I truly do.

@@sev7NN. I mean that was what happened. When Stewie and someone else (forgot who) came onto the team, Shroud understood that for the sake of team cohesion, he would need to be enabling them. He was no longer the star player, the lead fragger, but the guy making sure those guys were fragging out. He brought it up on stream several years ago.

@@RaeneYT If he wanted to keep a spot in the team, he had to, its like Perkz going bot because there was Caps at mid. He wasn't performing for a long time as a star player, and Stewie & Autimatic joining C9 forced him to play that role. He isn't a support by nature, and he wasn't a good one when he changed his role in the team, that's why he had to step down from C9. It was not for the sake of team cohesion that he switched, he wasn't on the level it required to be on the roster as a star or a support, and unfortunately it has been like that since he started CS at pro level until he left. One of the most overrated players in CSGO for outsiders (like ScreaM also), you love to watch the clips but trust me in the real games he wasn't as relevant as his fame.

NGL i think he is working too hard on supports people expect him to be good at (Janna, Senna, Lulu, Lux, Heimer) and not enough games on champs people have questions about (thresh, leona, naut, blitz) tho it is good to see he has a decent amount of Rakan games

Just by looking on that video, it seems like rekkless is op at enchanters or ranged in general but seems to lose on engage. He should spam engage supp to get better at them because he seems already really good at ranged supps. Sure if you want to climb, he should otp janna. But i think he wants to play competitive and a large champ pool would be insane for his future as supp

I heard some pros were talking about Reckless in his prime that in scrims he was playing aggressive ADCs and stomping hard on them. I think it is some kind of mental block for him on ADC in officials that make him play more conservative. Hope by swapping to support he will be able to finally unshackle his chains and play more freely

Still don't understand this move. Support is the shotcaller and Rekkles has always been quiet. If he doesnt learn to speak up and be assertive in his calls he wont succeed. I am rooting for him though

@@winkuli true about the fnatic part. Being talkative as an adc is more like a handicap tho. Some calls can surely be made, but also having to be the main shotcaller is a bit hard, thats why i guess he didn't really want to be the one. I know that Rekkles has very good macro and as a support he has way more time to focus on talking too, which he can! But his team needs to trust him and the synergy needs to be there, because if he doesn't feel well in the environment it will probably not work out, because he is someone being very affected by such and also doesn't point that out and just eats it up on his own being more quiet and so on...
