Late response here but it's insane to say it was a fluke because they started all the way from play-ins. They're the only team to ever win from that position, they literally started from the bottom. It's the furthest possible thing from a fluke when they're the team that played the most games in the entire tournament.

Im dropping tears of joy and tears of sadness because this was best worlds ever and we might never see better one again(imo).. so many emotional moments, imagine mental strenght of DRX to reverse sweep after that nexus incident, I would have mental breakdown in backstage for sure, especially if youre Deft, knowing it might be your last game in your 10years career.. As a big T1 fan i cried so much when T1 lost and when Keria cried, but i was really happy for Deft, this is why I love League of Legends :)

The Geng Dk series also no joke banger, like legit if there's a list of top series, the final, geng dk, drx reverse sweep, all the game 5 will have to be included in the S+ rank.

Watching this now that Worlds 2023 is starting. This was the craziest Worlds ever. as a genuine league fan it's such a pleasure to be around to watch the entirety of it but as a T1 fan this hurted like hell. T1 had such a shaky year and you can easily tell that Worlds 2023 is probably the last time that we see this 5 man squad. If 2022 was regarded as Deft's last dance then 2023 is surely for this T1 roster. I'm still rooting for them and hope they win it all this year, bittersweet last ride.

@@0dandie0 nah bro Worlds 22 is top tier in my eyes - that underdog glow up with so many twists was just too epic and really emotional imo. I literally almost cried couple of times xdd and I never cry. Like remember when Deft on Ezreal almost destroyed the Nexus, but an inhib recovered and they lost the game afterwards, but fortunately won the series. Or Deft getting a birthday cake after he finally made it to the semis (if I remember that correctly) ... I mean noone expected they'd even make it there, I even remember choosing their opponent in pick'em every time they played :D that just proves it wasn't an easy way to the finals for them, but they made it and delivered one of the craziest Grand Finals ever imo. That bo5 with baron steals and everything, man I gotta watch that again :D ... For me the next similarly exciting Worlds may probably be the one where the West takes it all ... Anyways that's just my opinion - 100 people 100 tastes, I accept that. Have fun watching league mate

As great as Faker is, Deft and Madlife have always been my favorite players. Unfortunately Madlife never got to win worlds or made any great runs besides Season 2. But Deft winning really was amazing. Players that have made a mark on the Pro League scene should get skins of themselves as their champions that they are known for. Like Insec should get a Lee Sin skin, Madlife Thresh or Blitz etc, just like in the "Road to the Cup" cinematic for worlds season 3.
