even in winter fire can spread under certain conditions, especially because california vegetation is not suited to it's own climate, cali is generally hotter and dry, but the residents bought in other types of vegetation, this leads to a big amount of dry plants during most of the year which leads to fires being easily spread

Yep, plus it's crazy windy which makes any sparks or small fires spread insanely fast. Couple days ago they had over 100 mph winds, apparently like 160+ at higher elevations. It's also never really "cold" in LA, it's 70 F (21C) this week and that's normal in the winter.

Guardian's Horn is still the single most broken item in ARAM for gold value and Riot hasn't still nerfed it cuz it's not a competitive gamemode. If you play against 5 AD team and rush Frozen Heart (the old one with the flat damage reduction passive), your Guardian's Horn will actually block more damage for you than Frozen Heart over the duration of the game. A starting item. It's insane.

@@userjatto1603 in either case it blocks more than frozen heart or new randuins over the course of the game. easily even. if youre a tank its not uncommon to have the horn block 10k damage for you over the course of the aram game. sometimes you contemplate when youre full build if you even want to switch it for a full item. usually you do, but it feels bad to sell it edit: no matter how you spin it, 10k mitigated damage from a 950 gold starter item is beyond insanity. like just compare to the stats guardians blade gives you, same cost.

Yes i usually sell it for last item as tank and it constantly blocks more than 10k damage, not counting for the casual hp/hp5 you get from it. Unironically bis for everything that labels as melee and it would be perma insta buy if hubris wasn't that broken

I'm happy that comment about teaching reached Caedrel. i wanted to mention something similar about giving them clear goals to practice ins crims or test something wild once or twice without worrying about winning but only improving. I didnt want to write an entire essay assuming no one would read it and that person explained it much better than i could and it turns out enough fans read it to upvote it enough for someone to post it to reddit.

cali rat here: it’s all just the dryness and wind. fires just kind of… start. usually more up north where there’s more forests to burn, but sometimes it catches in a suburban area and it’s devastating. usually there’s a fire season (october-ish) where some small stuff starts every year, but usually not on this scale and definitely not at this time of year. in the winter months it usually hovers around mid 70s to low 50s Fahrenheit, (20-10 celsius give or take) so it’s not even that hot. really uncharacteristic and my heart goes out to those affected

The fires are so bad because they don’t clean up all the dead trees, so there’s tons of dry dead wood all over. If you put out every single fire asap and never clean out the dead wood, you’re asking for a massive fire that can’t be stopped.

The problem is, that Riot is coming with new and new mechanics, but they are not balancing those new mechanics around older/old champs. Nowdays every new champ has milion dashes, CD resets, etc etc. Then you have champions from season 3-4 who haven't been touched and they are hard to play against those new champs.

this is for support players to catch up in exp because apparently some support players have complained that being level 9 (even if you only ever need level 6 to be unkillable) is not good enough. baus' playstyle is an exception and im sure they didn't really think of his style when making this change, because quite frankly, why would you change the entire game based on a playstyle that only a couple of players in the world can perfect

this doesn't buff supports cause most enchanters usually just don't die and have high assists and atleast half the melee supports are pretty hard to kill when snowballing - it's mostly a buff to top laners especially split pushers who don't have alot of assists

Im in Los Angeles. The fire happened during very high winds. The winds were crazy strong last night, like 80 mph. The likely culprit in my opinion is a downed power line from the harsh wind conditions. And the high winds mixed with a brush fire = carnage. Of course the electric company will cover this up.

3:30 Californian here. No, it's not that cold in Southern California basically ever. I live where the fires are. It's always warm due to the mountains. Fires start easily due to the Santa Ana winds, which are annual and fukken seem mythological according to our government. We have a LOT of dry brush that doesn't get cleared because we have a lot of forest. Dead trees and foliage and leaves. Easy to burn. Even the most innocuous cigarette butt carelessly tossed can cause this. But the Santa Ana winds are generally called the winds of fire because that's usually what they bring with them from fuq knows where.

This season seems to be all about shortening game time while also increasing the importance of early macro (2/3 of the "feats of strength" are tower and jg obj related). Baus is gonna eat good with all of these extra incentives to get ahead besides kda.

It's not a buff because Baus will just not pick up petals, these things are for supports, junglers or roaming laners, but Baus never roams; he just goes from minion wave to minion wave in a straight line through a lane or he will bypass the opposing laner to proxy. Who, in that case, is guaranteed to get the petals spawning from Baus' deaths when coming from base..

you guys need to take in account taking a petal costs you time. time which you could ve spent farming waves. its not free action. same way when bard leaves lane and collects those chimes that give him xp he wont come to lane higher level he will be lower level because he missed minion xp. this xp isnt why you are taking petals you are taking them because they give pernament damage buff.

I have never been to Spain, I have no idea what the fires there would be like. I do come from the Pacific Northwest of the United States. We are wildfire central & during the summer, it gets so bad that sometimes the sky turns a blood red & close to unbreathable. I fortunately lived in a swamp city for most of my life, so I never had the fires reach us.

I agree with the coaching advice. I played ERLs for a few years (master and a few grandmaster players, so still far away from pro) and i started to dread scrims, because they were so boring and unfun. There were no goals, no rewards, just grind and look at mistakes after every game. I left the ERLs now, because no team could manage to make scrims productive.

I think LRatones is insane, and they can probably reach the top if they train well. They have and insane pillar at the center of the game, Nemesis and a very good engage support that knows when to go in and start the fight. Crown and velja also very good And baus, this guy can pressure the enemy team alone and if ignored he become a huge problem, I think he has to work on his champ pools but he knows his stuff man

If you want to know more about setting goals/objectives, on of the most accepted psychology theory to do this is the S.M.A.R.T. method. Make them Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-based. It's a quite simple concept to understand and employ. Give it a try xD

I don't know about that, does the process of learning ever really change even if you know more? Having more knowledge may actually be bad for learning, because you feel like you already know better than those that are trying to teach or coach you. I think that there might be some merit in trying out different coaching methods. And I wanna say to Caedrel (if he ever sees this) that I get it that you know what has worked for you when you were a pro player, but I think different people may have slightly different needs, even if they don't realize that. I'm not saying your method is wrong, but it's good to keep an open mind.

25 xp * 60 (average between 50-70) is 1,500xp. so with a KDA of 0 that’s now 3,000xp. You need 280 xp to reach level 2 and every level after that is 100xp more. So to reach lvl 18 from 17 is 1880xp. Basically the buff in the best case scenario would make him skip around 2 entire levels and then some in the mid game. It’s around the level 8 or 9 mark where best case scenario the buff could gain u 3 levels but I don’t think he’d be that low level? idrk i didn’t watch the scrims
