Honestly, no one is going to realistically take the agent's side. The problem is, T1 re-signed three players without issues. To point the finger at T1 and say, "it's their fault" when they had absolutely no problems with three other players makes this unbelievable. Not saying it's 100% the agent's fault, but it seems more and more like it. IF, and it's a big IF, T1 was unable to match the salary, contract, or whatever other demands were requested, they could just let it slide quietly, they can just announce they couldn't come to an agreement, and that's it, it happens in League ALL THE TIME and this isn't the first time a player has left SKT/T1. Kicking up a stink for no reason doesn't make sense, especially when they're by far the most successful e-sports team and probably THE ONLY e-sports team to actually be making money, and if found to be lying, it's just a killer for what they've spent 10+ years building up. Logically speaking, T1 are far more believable. If the agent is at fault, they really messed up. Of all the teams to choose to deal in bad faith, you choose the most popular one? Lol. Stupid is the only word for it.

​@@subtilizer4664 Well, I didn't make this point because it is possible that T1 was trying to be as fair as possible to all the players, and the HLE offer was simply too high. This would discourage the other players from re-signing next time. T1 is by far the most profitable e-sports team, so yeah, they can match any offer, but it's whether they want to. The problem with this is, if T1 didn't want to match the offer, it doesn't make any sense for them to kick up a stink about it. After all, this whole situation is nothing but a downer to the team atmosphere, and imagine Doran joining and this is his reception? You wouldn't feel welcome at all, and I just can't imagine T1 doing that to any player. This is done out of necessity for being fair, which makes more sense, and to hopefully oust the trouble making agents.

If agency got addition money from company other than that commission, it's just pure bribery and it's illegal. Also, if agent wanted more money then it makes no sense that they signed a deal so fast before hearing T1's additional offer or lpl team's offer. A couple million would be nothing if agency continued a negotiation between teams.

If Zeus really did want to stay, the process wouldn't have been that complicated. T1 sealed every other contract renewal swiftly. Even Doran signing was pretty instant before we even got wind of this whole mess. Either Zeus was pretty set on leaving, and for some reason he didn't inform T1 which fucked up their preparations (e.g. missing out on Kiin), or the agency did not relay completely everything to him.

Something doesn’t really make sense about the deadline. While yes, it’s common to give strict deadlines in contract negotiations, that’s contingent on the offering party having leverage. HLE wouldn’t have had any leverage here. Kiin was signed and only Doran was available. Zeus or the agent could have simply said that the deadline doesn’t work for us. Also, from what we can piece together about the Doran situation, it seems like HLE was not going to re-sign him. That means only Zeus was available. Quite frankly it looks like Zeus had communicated to HLE long before the FA period that he wanted to join them, and the FA period was about raising his market value based on T1’s offer.

Feels like it might not actually be a matter of money, how incredible that sounds. Because if it was about money, the agent would have gone back and forth between HLE and T1. It could be that Zeus, without wanting to say it out loud, wanted a new team for some reason. For example, he might want to have a bigger voice within the team. As long as he is in T1, he would be a top player but still a player besides the others not above them. In another team, he could manifest like Faker did in T1, and Showmaker did in DK. Let's not pretend that Zeus is clueless here. IMO, it feels like Zeus really wanted out anyways but kinda unprofessional way to go out. If they really wanted to test the market, they wouldn't have immediately signed with HLE. They would've let the teams have a bidding war. Also, it seems questionable for HLE to demand an ultimatum on their offer especially for the best player in FA. Zeus' camp should have the upper hand in the negotiations. If HLE did have some leverage to demand an ultimatum, it also reinforces the theory that Zeus really wanted out because HLE would've known they had no plans to sign with T1. (still doubtful in this scenario since HLE wouldn't offer a big contract if that is the case) Zeus wanting out seems to be the only explanation for what happened.

zeus' agency posted a new statement of stance. However, the agency said there was no negotiation in the previous statement, but it changed and said. The agency is lying, saying something different from the last time. zeus is also. Last year, he himself contacted the director and officials himself, saying he wanted to stay in T1. zeus said he wanted to do that again this year, but he didn't act. In the end, it's up to zeus to sign the final sign. But he didn't do that. Hanwha is condoning it by saying player protection. With this, we suspect that there was a tempering between the agency and Hanwha in Korea. Anyway, the last of zeus was not very good. Zeus wanted the bag so his agency used both T1 and HLE as leverage to get the highest offer possible. It’s like the highest bidder wins. I’m sure Zeus preferred to stay with T1 as long as they gave him what he wanted. Unfortunately, I think T1 hesitated to give him what he wanted to avoid offending the other 3 players who took pay cut to stay with the team. If T1 had given in to his demand, it would create a feeling of discontent and unfairness on the part of Keria, Guma and Oner. And it would create precedents when it comes to demanding salary in the future. I think there is nothing wrong with Zeus looking for a higher salary and there is nothing with T1’s not giving in to his demands. The problem lies on how Zeus and his agency dealt with the situation. They could have discussed their demands with T1 face to face. If T1 were unwilling to give you what you want then that’s the time you can say “you don’t give me what I want, I will go somewhere else.” As simple as that instead of creating this circus.

He has so much respect for the organization that helped grow him as a player, I find it hard to believe that he would be involved in this. Why go through all this trouble and potentially burn bridges you helped build? Plus T1 has clearly stated that they have no problem with Zeus, but the problem lies with the agent and the agency. They respect his decision. The only person getting hurt in all of this is Zeus. As for Doran, I am glad the deal and atmosphere surrounding his signing was positive. The most suspicious thing about this entire situation is that The Play themselves said that negotiations for Zeus' contract started on Nov 12, but they never gave T1 any counteroffer until 11:30am and 3:20pm (10 minutes before rejecting T1 completely) on Nov 19. They simply just declined all of T1's offers simply because, apparently, they were still evaluating Zeus' market. And then they dropped a counteroffer the literal last minute and didn't want to accept anything less than what they wanted. Not only that, they also admitted to rejecting all of T1's efforts to physically negotiate and forced the company to only talk to them via phone/online. That is just so inefficient and unprofessional in so many levels, especially when we're talking about the literal current best Top Laner in the industry.

Just comparing the way Doran's agent operates makes it clear how unreasonable Zeus's agent is. They didn’t protect Zeus until they themselves were under attack. Additionally, their parent(? or old) company is reportedly the same agency representing Kiin. And Hanwha was also suspected of similar issues with their baseball team. The reason this hasn’t escalated further is because of Zeus. If this goes to court, Zeus stands to lose a lot, including his military exemption. As a fan of T1, I really don't want that and I believe T1 also does not want it. He's still so young I hope it becomes an opportunity to learn a lot without getting too hurt.

Here's a TLDR: Zeus and his agents scouted the market when free agency was up. T1 made offers during this time and Zeus' party allegedly didn't accept the offers because they were trying to drive up his value. They kept going back and forth until Zeus' party was getting harder to communicate with and threatened them with a Hanwha Life signing. T1 was confused because they thought they were still in negotiations but they had to get a new top stat so they got Doran. This allegedly forced the agent to agree to what the Hanwha Life offer was and screwed over plans of driving Zeus' value up.

T1 offers not just salary, but royalties from merch, ads, sponsorships and brand deals. If it’s about money FOR Zeus, then T1 is the better option even with a lower base salary. However, Agents don’t get a cut from those player royalties, only on the Salary. So it’s seems to me that they prioritised how much the agency would get. So they convinced Zeus to go for the higher base salary offer. They also refused to sit down with T1 and negotiate face to face because they know Zeus would sign with them. Bottomline, Agent is greedy and Zeus was willing to leave. It’s unfortunate for T1 because they got fcked in the process. so basically , the agency is trying to shrug off the 'ghosting allegations' by glazing over it (they didn't give a counter proposal before the 19/11 , the talk about 'the free agent market' is proof they had a plan and were just stalling for time ) .the refusal b4 19/11 was based on market value , thus a conter proposal based on their estimation of 'market value' should be available at that time , their passive approach is inconsistent with their alleged 'enthusiasm' in making a deal with T1 after 9/11. btw can some1 tell me , how are they making proposals ? apparently it's not face to face , so by phone ??? then check their call history .like the precise timing given by the agency should have benn made through a call catalog or smt easily traceable .the use of 'details' to look more honest is double edged AF , how the agency got these time stamps is the key to solve the mystery .( if they say the agent remembers as such then it's sus since ppl don't keep THAT much track on time .

i am 100% for a player getting paid their worth. i am 100% against using shady tactics. my opinion, T1 has no reason to lie about trying to keep Zeus, as they're a esports org so it's their business to acquire/trade/let go players through deals. idk, i hate SOME Korean business deals, always so shady and underhanded. i doubt Zeus will find success in becoming the face of HLE. question is, depending on how 2025 goes, will T1/T1 fans want Zeus back?

I heard that T1 management is willing to sue the agents. What would benefit T1 by lying about denying counter proposals? The agent has so much more to lose because Zeus is receiving so much criticism and hate in Korea now. It's known that Zeus' agent is not the most ethically inclined. And if T1 couldn't match the salary that Zeus wanted, why would T1 make this such a public issue? Many T1 players have come and gone but I don't recall a single exit quite like this.
