What do you guys think about Michael Andrew's chances this summer at world championships? I think his best chance for gold is in the 50m butterfly. Let's face that he won't win (or even final) in any 100. Ben Proud will smoke him in the 50 free if Caeleb won't, it will take a world record to beat koleshnikov in the 50 back this summer and the only person that could've possibly challenged Peaty in the 50 breast is Cameron van der Burgh. I don't necessarily think Michael will win it, but the other 50s are just not up for grabs.

@collinmiller88665 жыл бұрын
Lex Soft I don’t think there is any relation other than the fact we have the same last name first initial for first name and we both swim the 100 breast haha. I think it’s just a coincidence...
@lexsoft39695 жыл бұрын
@@collinmiller8866 Thanks for reply. Btw USA just lost to GBR in 4x100m medley relay. Duncan Scott turned to become Jason Lezak version 2, caught Nathan Adrian to touch the wall first with stunning split : 46.14. It is the 2nd fastest of all time after Lezak's 46.06 in 2008 Olympic. What do you think ? Who is to blame ? Imo, Ryan Murphy. He swam 52.92, while theoretically 52.50 would have been enough. Besides, why not putting Blake Pieroni instead of Nathan Adrian ?
@collinmiller88665 жыл бұрын
Lex Soft thanks for the update! I haven’t watched it quite yet. You know I don’t think there is anyone to blame, sometimes it happens. If anything this is good because no one on that relay likes to get beat, so for the Olympics they are going to have that extra motivation to kick butt haha.

Does anyone think Dressel will race the 200 IM in Tokyo?
@thebossness14405 жыл бұрын
Aakos94 If he wants to chase 8, he has to pick up a 4th individual event, and that’s under the assumption that he’ll swim the 4x200. I see very little way that he doesn’t take on the 200IM, that SCY time at SECs blew me away.
@Aakos945 жыл бұрын
@@thebossness1440 Yeahh ever since that 200 IM at SECs I've thought he might have a shot. Even the breast may have been on the table if it weren't for Peaty.
@thebossness14405 жыл бұрын
Aakos94 I’d have to disagree on the breast one, just because SCY breast in my experience tends to convert much more heavily on walls, than any other SCY-to-LCM event. If you look at Dressel’s splits from his 49 at NCAAs post surfacing, it’s pretty evident he’s slower than virtually everyone else in the field. Even the current record holder in the SCY version, Ian Finnerty, is primarily known for his sprint free and seems to have cruised to victory via pullouts rather than a high velocity, flexible stroke. I honestly doubt without spending an unproductively long time on efficiency things, he’d be able to even crack a minute, or the Olympic final in the 100 breast LCM. Even thats only if (in this hypothetical scenario) he beats out Kevin Cordes, Miller, Finnerty, Wilson, Licon, and Shebat at trials. It just seems more unlikely than you likely think.
@Aakos945 жыл бұрын
@@thebossness1440 True, long course breast stroke is a whole different game. But hopefully some people step up for team USA in that event and the rest should be covered. That medley relay in 2020 is gonna be quite the race with GB
@reillyploplis74575 жыл бұрын
