CAER CARADOC WILD CAMP UK - THE SHROPSHIRE HILLS

Back out on the Trails with @Dai_outdoors_uk (instagram) in the Shropshire Hills for another adventure!
The first ascent was to Battle stones on Willstone Hill, a big old circular hike up and down the tops taking in Helmeth hill (Helmet 😉) and eventually reaching the top of Caer Caradoc for an amazing wild camp in the clouds.

Shaun great video bud. I was over on the Mynd with Dave Outdoors that same night. Good job we didn’t speak to any locals, they’d start thinking it was a scouser takeover. Nice spot, DO was telling me about it. What does Dai think of the lanshan? ATB Andy

Hello Andy. Lanshan is a good bit of kit mate. This is its first use and although I had a quick set up in the garden, that wasn't good enough for the wind on top of Caer Caradoc. My fault entirely, need to properly set up the guy ropes and use better pegs.

Dai Colbeck can understand Dai. Saturday was my first camp in the Lanshan but my 3rd attempt at pitching. Luckily I had Dave Outdoors and WildAstro on hand to give me some pointers. A good tent I reckoned 👍

Live very local to here and me and my friends have been planning a long hike there and back again and would be great to stay here overnight. However, I was just wondering if I am legally allowed to do this or could someone come and ask us to move along or fine us for trespassing or something.

It's not necessarily legal, and if sombody came to move you on, you would have to. But the general rule of thumb for wild camping, is pitch late, pack up early, leave no trace and don't make a racket.... you'll be fine, I've never been moved on yet 🙂👍
