The impressive Caernarfon castle stands quite magnificently on the eastern shore of the Menai Strait and in the town of Caernarfon. This Edwardian masterpiece formed part of the ‘Ring of Iron’ - a series of stone castles that circled northern Wales, built after Edward I’s conquest of Wales.

A fabulous edifice indeed. I was there in 2006 but for some reason which I can’t remember I had no chance to climb up the towers. Thanks for enhancing my memories with this tour.

Caernarfon is rather spectacular, it's a shame you could not climb the towers in 2006, my first visit was in around 2014 and they were open by then, but glad our video brought back your memories of Caernarfon 😀
