hi, why exactly are we using Mod ?? what help does mod does?? i know it gives us remainder but is it because z being the last alphabet with index 25, if we need to cipher x we would have done 23 + 3= 26, since there is nothing in the 26th place, we need to re-enter the loop starting from A . so 26 mod 26 gives us 0 which is index of A. I guess this is the only reason for A to start from 0 and the answer to why we use modulo method in this cipher............... is there any other reason then kindly explain??

Az Durjoy Good Question , in this question you have to manually check each letter for example start with A =0 then B =1 ,when you get some proper readable and understandable plain text then you can confirm that substituted alphabet number is key
