*This theory is not mine, but i have permission to translate and repost it Luffy Is A Mythical Monkey Man, Not A Rubber Man This theory will try to explain the connection between Zunesha, Luffy and what the Gorosei were talking about the mysterious devil fruit thah the World Goverment had changed its name. Luffy real devil fruit is not Gomu Gomu No Mi (paramecia), its really a mythical zoan called "Saru Saru No Mi Model Hanuman" (Monkey Monkey Fruit Model Hanuman) Ok, lets me explain. It has lots to do with Hindu Myhtology, and i'm not an expert in those field but i will try my best. i. Zunesha The name Zunesha was adopted from Ganesha, the gods of prosperity and wisdom. He is also known as "The Lord Of The People" and "The Remover Of Obstacles" which kinda foreshadow the motive of Zunesha arrival in the latest chapter. In the old mythology Hanuman have a strong connection with Ganesha, hence Zunesha also share some connection with Luffy. There is many possibility why Zunesha arrived at Wano. Maybe to protect The Minks tribe who Zunesha has considered as "his people". Or maybe there is another possibility. Zunesha detected something, or rather Someone. I believe Gorosei was informed about the arrival of Zunesha. And they actually knew the connection between Zunesha and the mysterious devil fruit. Thats why they were shocked by Zunesha action or rather Reaction. Zunesha came to Wano because he is reacting to the awekening of Hanuman. Hanuman is the real nature of Gomu Gomu No Mi., and luffy is in the process of awakening it and discovering the truth. ii. Inspiration Oda once said that he is a big fan of Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball and One Piece is partly inspired by his favourite Manga. As we all know, Son Goku is loosely adapted from Journey Of The West's main character, The Monkey King (Son Wukong). Journey To The West is a novel that revolve around The Mighty Monkey King and the Buddhist mythology, hence Oda adapted a Hindu mythology for his main character that also revolve about a tales of a powerful Monkey iii. Hanuman And Luffy Hanuman and luffy share some (many) traits and backstory Hanuman is a War General, known for his might and also his strong leadership in several war like The Battle of Lanka, leading many tribes and species to war. This is also the case with Luffy, great leadership, leads wars, befriend anyone, can lead and motivates everybody. Luffy is reincarnation of Joy Boy (always shown smiling). Hanuman is reincarnation of Shiva. Shiva is known to destroy Tripura (three cities made of gold, silver and iron) with just a SMILE. Hanuman is son of Vayu, God of Wind and Air. Luffy is son of Dragon, although never shown but many believe have some sort of devil fruit that can control air/cloud/storm. Hanumon once thought the sun is a golden color fruit, then try to reach the sky to obtain the sun. He is later stopped and punished by Indra, the god of storm Luffy once reached the sky, found the golden Bell fought Enel along the way who believed he is the god of storm. Hanuman was once caught when he tries to save Sita, wife of Ramayana. When the enemy try to burn his tail, Hanuman evades the fire by changing the length of his limb. Luffy obviously can stretch his limbs. The goverment use this as a coverup and said hanuman fruit is just a rubber fruit. Maybe the unawakened Hanuman fruit only got access to this one ability. iv. Sun God Nika, Joyboy and Luffy is connected As previously stated, Hanuman once tries to eat the sun. Luffy never tries this, but a very long time ago a certain person maybe. Sun God Nika seemed to be a lanky, warrior-like figure with "Noodly Limbs" and flame-shaped hair. He is said to be the leader of slaves that will one day bring "smiles" to them. His image is clearly smiling and looks like a joyful person. Nika once attempt to do something with the sun, or got some power related to fire/heat, got famous for it and later called as the Sun God Nika. Noodly limbs could also imply that Nika is the previous owner of the Gomu Gomu/Hanuman fruit. Back to Hanuman story, after he is caught trying to obtain the sun, he got punished and sustained an injury on his body. His father go on a strike and blocked the air from all living creature. The gods needs Vayu to calm down or all living things will die without air. They healad Hanuman, but also give him some boons which is resistant towards LIGHTNING and FIRE. On the other hand Luffy try to take the Sun for himself (Ace the Mera Mera No Mi), punished by the magma, got a permanent injury on his chest, and later developed a fire attack and he is resistant to his own FIRE. As we all knew Luffy is already resistant towards LIGHTNING. v. Memory Erased Hanuman memory was once erased by the higher gods, because he is kinda mischief and displeased the gods. He forgot about his real strength and capability for a while. The Hanuman fruit real name and powered is erased by the higher hands because of something the previous owner may had done to the Higher Goverment and Luffy never knew his real strength and his fruit capability. vii. Conclusion Luffy real devil fruit is not Gomu Gomu No Mi, its Saru Saru No Mi Model Hanuman a really rare powerful mythical zoan which the previous owner wrecks the old ruling government.

Just the prospect of Caesar and Buggy working together technologically could prove legitimately dangerous. The buggy ball is nothing to scoff at for how compact it is and would legitimately take a good amount of understanding of munitions to create. What if you combine the compact nature of the weaponry with its explosive power and combined it with the gas weapons of Caesar? It could legitimately do a lot more damage that way.

Speaking of Buggy, I somehow imagine right now having Buggy as one of the final opponents for Zoro. Zoro could easily jut punch him, but he refuses to accept there is something he can't cut and keeps trying.

@@RhythmsByRKelly mehawk probably wasn't applying haki to that attack. if haki could harm any devil fruit user despite the influence of the fruit on their body, such as Luffy getting punched by haki fists, buggy should have no chance against a swordsman who actually use haki on him. his only choice then would be to separate himself quickly before the slash hit, like katakuri and the admirals did.

@@RhythmsByRKelly black blades are blades which were blackened after long exposure to haki, that we know, but it was never told they are permanently hakied up. it would make sense for them to be, but that would mean shusui would permanently be with haki, even before Zoro learned that. in short, we know you need to haki to make the blades black forever, but that doesn't mean there is haki in them all the time, as evident from mehawk and buggy, and from shusui. Zoro still had to coat shusui with haki for it to be armed. and there is absolutely no reason to assume that somehow buggy is immune to haki attacks. ... oh, who am I kidding, of course buggy is immune to haki attacks, what were I thinking? ignore all my points up until now, obviously buggy is just that awesome.

@@alucard347 Yea that makes sense since Zoro did have to use haki on Shusui. I just assume Mihawk would use Haki since he’s at war, but Buggy is a beast who defeated Zoro. Unless of course Buggy is splitting apart rapidly to avoid all of Mohawks attacks. With his fruit I guess it makes him harder to take damage similar to Luffy.

I feel like the torture element of the gas was very intentional on Caesar's part. The whole point of Jack attacking Zou was to weed out Raizo who they were harboring and if they're all dead then well....there's no way to find him. So it's like a 3 pronged attack. Intimidate and rough them up physically to get them to tell you where he is, if that doesn't work bring out the threat of using a kill gas weapon, if that doesn't work then release the excruciating kill gas weapon on everyone so they have time and incentive to tell you where he is, and if THAT doesn't work then go home and hope you don't get a boro breath'd up the ass for coming home empty handed.

And I feel that Buggy is the most likely crew for him, I find it hard for Mihawk to join a Shanks, Blackbeard, Dragon or Luffy. So If he is to join a crew the only one with a ability to lead a Mihawk is Buggy. 2.Perona are trying to join up with Moria, but I believe it will be unsuccessful; due to the Moria situation I can't see Perona joining Moria If he works under Blackbeard also If Moria was "killed too". Also Absalom is dead and I believe Dr.Hogback has been captured by the Marines! 3. Weevile is someone I believe would be easily tricked by Buggy similar to how Usopp is always able to trick Chopper! So I believe he would fit in really well in the Buggy pirates. Also will close an enormous gap between Buggy's crew compared to other characters that will be important. Like Dragon's RA, Luffy's crew; Shanks Crew and Blackbeard's Crew, while also making Buggy's infamy to spread even wider closing his Bounty closer to the big dogs of the pirate world!! 4. Ceasar and Buggy can be a really good combo, I believe that Ceasar is changing bit by bit to be a better part of himself. Also Buggy and Ceasar working on stuff together will be dangerous and might give Buggy himself a power up!! 5. Yeah Squard is the most unlikely in my opinion!

In all honesty if Caesar comes back into the fold it would be fine and teaming up with black beard makes the most sense considering how Caesar actually is as a character and black beard is cunning so it would be a double cross later on down the road anyway. So black beard just uses him like everyone else but he wouldn't take his fruit I don't think more likely he passes it on to one of his crew mates. On the prospect of him working with buggy, it would be hilarious but also dangerous enter: the buggy bomb 2.0 explosive and gaseous all the more dangerous high impact and lasting damage. I've always wondered if Caesar could remove the air or even cause the air in someone's lungs explode and basically kill the enemy like that. Or even use wind from the humid ocean air and condense it to form water to essential make a cage of water using nothing but the humidity in the air and winds to move and carry the water to keep a devil fruit user trapped. I basically can't help but think of Caesar's devil fruit to be nothing but the ultimate mass murder tool because I highly doubt that an enemy even yonko level can live in a vacuum or in an atmosphere devoid of oxygen for too long. He'll if we take this even further, if Caesar were so turn the air around his enemies into pure nitrogen, then he could effectively choke his enemies out without anyone noticing. People exposed to a lower oxygen or no oxygen atmosphere will experience complication in 1 or 2 simple breaths. Like Caesar is so stupid for being a scientist when dealing with gas as a weapon through his fruit.

Outside of poison gases, he can literally suffocate his opponents. Sure people can speed blitz him, but he just did it to the Strawhat crew. He could likely provide other pirates or even the govt with chemical bombs. Or similarly to Kuma, create a supremely devastating aoe attack. His ability is a ton stronger than the manga/anime makes it out to be. If he has a faster way to ignite his gas attacks, he'd be a really oppressive villain.

Yo Tekking, you should look into Elephants auditory & visual sensory capabilities. & exactly how that changes their perception of reality compared to humans & most other creatures. I read something along time ago about how they can either see/& or/hear, infrasound or infrared light, lol sry can't rember which or perahps it was both? I do remember Bees can see pretty well into the UV light spectrum which means to them they actually see sunflowers in reverse to what we see (black or dark on most of the flower except the center which is a light color), as well as being able to see all the (invisible to humans) sun damage splots/scars that cover most humans faces & bodies.

Thoughts. 1. Whatever I pass off as a brain seems to remember seeing Gecko Moria stuck on Blackbeard's main island and given a choice to either join up and put his devil fruit to use for the Yonko crew or be killed to ensure that his devil fruit reincarnates for Blackbeard to give one of his loyal crewmates. And given the powers of the Kage Kage no mi to reanimate a corpse by attaching a shadow to it, both it and Moria are pretty much guaranteed to work for Blackbeard one way or another. If Caesar Clown were to encounter Blackbeard's crew after that wraps up, the same could apply to Caesar. 2. If Caesar Clown were to team up with Buggy, would that mean the appearance of his devil fruit would finally be revealed? I bring this up because while very few devil fruits have had their appearances revealed, the fact that every single devil fruit user in Buggy's crew happens to be in that group strikes me as quite the coincidence. Kind of makes me wonder how much of that might have been intentional.

Actually if you think about it Shirokuni is an outstanding weapon everyone on the island would instantly be unable to move and would slowly die no one would be able to escape and tell what happened and even if someone was somehow able to do so the chance of them escaping and being able to find someone to make a cure in time is next to 0.
