Caesar Creek State Park, OH - Lots of fish, huge campsite and family fun! May-June, 2024, Episode 61

Our 5-day camping trip to Caesar Creek State Park in Waynesville, Ohio, May 29th - June 3rd, 2024. This campground is about 12 minutes from our son's home in Springboro, Ohio, which made it the perfect spot to stay, in order to attend two important family events for our granddaughter, Sierra. Her high school graduation open house was held on Saturday, June 1st, and her final dance recital as a graduating senior on Sunday, June 2nd. This was one of the first times we took advantage of having a camper to stay overnight for an event, rather than paying for a hotel room - and it won't be the last!
We really like Caesar Creek, and will plan to go back at least once every year. The sites throughout the park are amazingly large, with quite a bit of privacy and lots of grassy areas, all of which are features we prefer. We also loved kayaking and fishing in the beautiful lake, and found the boat ramp to be very kayak-friendly for launching and landing, one of the easiest we've found. The lake does allow unlimited horsepower, however, so we stayed pretty close to the shore to avoid the waves from the motor boats, especially on the weekend.We also enjoyed riding our e-bikes around the campground, though we didn't get any decent video of our rides, because the wind and bike motor noice kind of dominated the audio. But there is plenty of fishing video! Pretty good fishing lake, we think!

Definitely a new bass master in the family! 🥰 we do have some crappie filets in the freezer, need a couple more to make it a meal, lol! Bass back in the water to catch again another time! 🎣🐟
