Cafe Racer (BMW R75 by Heiwa Motorcycle)

The motorcycle of today, show how far can go a Japanese Custom Builder, when things are made with passion.
I have always admired Japanese custom builds for their very minimalistic vision.
This BMW R75, was built by kengo kimura, founder of "Heiva Motorcycle", located in Hiroshima.
It is not a Bobber, nor a Brat project. And not even a perfect Cafe Racer. But i simply don't care, because beautiful motorcycles, don't need a style name to be admired.
My special thanks to Pedro Torres, for his great help with my english.

OK. I'm gonna crush on Racer TV. I've always been a Harley guy. Built one from scratch and have had my bobbed out 01 Fatboy for 18 years but...this BMW build is blowing my mind! This bike sounds about as close to a Harley as your gonna get. Love it. This bike is near perfect. OK, I'm sold. I'm gonna snag up a vintage Beemer and build one! Thank you Racer TV. For everyone talking about how the tyres dont fit n how th headlight is weird...its a typical Japanese custom motorcycle focussed on craftsmanship. These designs are a piece of art and way beyond this world. Its a trademark heiwa motorcycle.

What an elegantly beautiful machine. I truely like the fact that it fits in no particular style, but incorporates many styles as well. As far as the tires, it was the builder's choice, so pay no attention to any nay sayers. When they build their own machines, they can choose the tires...

I am always in love of the look and style of the BMW engine that can go with all type of riding if it is cool or racing great work on the engine we also in Atelier-Merlin have made same hand polish on engine and Yes this request lot of cleaning every month but is that not also the fun of this transformation (to clean and maintain the engine!) ;-)

I have to stop watching your videos because everytime I see such a piece of art like this its hurts because in Spain we cannot have motorcycles like this due to the hard restrictions of the vehicles regulation. Otherwise I would had something like that. Love this bike!!

I like this chaps work. Maybe this bike would grow on me but if it was nudged to the domain of Brat it would grow on me faster. It's got a kind of tracker rear. Pipes run very clean and subtle though.

Bom dia caro amigo! O pneu escolhido pode até não ter bom desempenho em curvas, mas é, na minha opinião, o item que dá equilíbrio ao design da moto. E o motor polido ganha destaque entre eles. Para meu gosto, esse é um dos projetos que eu não só admiro como, ainda, gostaria muito de pilotar, ela "pede" isso, convida-me a um passeio em uma estrada sinuosa. Abraços!!

Olá Amigo Helio. Sim, sem duvida que estes pneus da Firestone são lindíssimos. Na realidade o que quis dizer no video é que os Pneus Shinko são os que mais se assemelham aos Firestone. Embora esteticamente não sejam tão "limpos", são os que têm um perfil e aparência mais próximo, mas com a vantagem de ter uma boa aderência. Mas obrigado por partilhar a sua já habitual e importante opinião. :) Um grande abraço.

Great build along the elements of a certain style - 10 out of 10! for that. What I have certain issues with are the 90% non existent front suspension and sub-optimal rear suspension, followed by the ancient looking no doubt new "car" tyre on the front. As a styling exercise this will look good outside the KFC around the corner - not worthy to be called a Cafe Racer. You cannot go fast on that thing other than on a perfect level road with no bumps. Great looking Beemer though. That fat front tyre will give you about 20mm of extra travel when inflated to 150KPa. When I think of the perfect BMW, Ritmo Sereno comes to mind. It's not only about the look of your ride - But about the look - And - The ride.

I would like to see something on kawasaki kz400s mainly because I built a cafe racer from one, but also its the perfect bike to start a cafe project because the lines are already there. You don't see many instead you see Yamaha xs400 and honda cb350 which are great too. My 1975 kz400 is a real head turner and in great shape. It's not a show bike but a road bike. Don't know how to post a picture, I could use some help with that. Thanks Racer tv you're the best. I'm very proud of my motorbike.

If the head light is good for a night ride then it’s fine with me, rear suspension is too soft, it is noticeable that with the rider on even at low speeds the tail “almost” touch the tire, other than that beautiful bike and nice video!!
