Cafe Racer (Harley Davidson Sportster built by kevan Cahyadi / Solace Motorcycle)

I can't tell you for how many years I have been waiting, for seeing a Harley Davidson Sportster, with a perfect Cafe Racer stance.
I'm very happy to have found it, and present it in this video.
Essentially, and until this date, this cafe racer project, can only be the coolest Harley Sportster I've ever seen.
It was built in Indonesia, by kevan Cahyadi Alam, one of the founders of a bike communit named: "Solace Motorcycle".
I hope you like it.

An interesting design, and I like the way the exhausts manage to go down both sides. I agree about not using USD forks, however the need for more travel is needed. I also like the change from belt to chain drive, very clever. I might make a few personal tweeks, but it is a lovely bike none the less.

Like the Ducati and Virago, the skinny V twin H-D engine layout is perfect for a cafe racer build and I have seen a few builds which I think are even better than this one. But what is impressive with this one is the fact that it appears rear sets were designed to work. I would have liked to see how the linkages were accomplished.

Very well done. My only criticism is how the exhaust seems to dominate the bike, particularly on the left hand side. It's the first thing one sees, and continues to draw attention as one attempts to take in the rest of the machine. Something more subtle, of smaller diameter and more flowing in its lines, would "finish" this machine, at least for me.

Can you assure me that putting the tire from a concrete mixer on a cafe racer is going to contribute to good handling? Or, is this in the same catagory as dozens of reflectors on a Mod Scooter from the 60s?

Its crazy but for me a cafe race looks perfect with 18 inch wheels, early Ducati's and Moto Guzzi's had it right.

Olá Eduardo. Está tubo ok. Espero o mesmo contigo. Considerando que o Kevan é bastante jovem, acho que só recentemente é que conseguiu tirar a carta de condução de cilindrada superior. Também temos que ter em conta o factor económico, pois é bastante difícil ter uma Harley destas na Indonésia, onde o imposto anual de motas superiores a 150cm3, é extremamente elevado para a maioria. :) Um abraço

In truth, when it seemed that a cafe racer could not be achieved with an HD Sporter, someone achieved the impossible. I really liked this designer's previous project, the Suzuki GN 250 never looked better. But achieving it on a Harley Davison truly is an artistic achievement. I like everything and above all the notion of being an evolving project and not a dead thing in a museum, but a vehicle immersed in urban traffic.

Love the Bikes,,Hate the tires. I was born in the 80's and I won't put any tire that has a tread pattern designed before I was a teenager. I don't care how much they have been modernized. They make me want to puke. Throw some nice Metzler's or Michelin's on there and enjoy modern rubber.

Yes, the project presented on the Bikeexif website is the final version of this bike. From what I saw, the exhausts, the rear tire, and the rear cowl are now different. :) Cheers

Sem duvida. Mas neste projecto, ficou demonstrado que uma postura horizontal por si só, não é suficiente. Rebaixar as suspensões da moto, e aplicar as proporções correctas do depósito de gasolina e banco, faz toda a diferença. Obrigado amigo por partilhar a sua opinião. :) Um abraço.

Thank you my friend for your support Good question about the 1080p, but here is my problem. Most photos/videos I received, don't have enough size for a Full HD video. I could make my videos in Full HD resolution, but the image quality would be bad. That is why I prefer to work with 720p. But interestingly, my next new video for this friday, will be on Full HD. But this is only because the builder sent me High resolution content. :) Cheers.

I far prefer the looks of the 250. Far more balanced. Yeah, that's probably the best looking harley I've ever seen, but it's still a gold plated dog turd. The forks are totally compromised, about the only way to get any travel in there is oing to be USDs or maybe (which would go with the advanced technology of the power plant) some 1920s style girder forks. The handling's gonna be modified by the changes to geometry, but it's a harley, they aren't going to be making it much worse. I don't understand why they did away with the only good thing about the original bike - the belt drive, though.

Nicely Done! I've always felt that the Sportster offers a nearly perfect platform from which to build a killer Café. The V-Twin alone creates an awesome centerpiece for a beautiful build! Kudos to the creator of this bike!

Unfortunately, things are more complicated than most people may think. I use this "robotic" voice created by software, because I'm Portuguese, and my bad English accent (and voice), can ruin the documentary character that I like for my videos. I already tried a real British voice in one of my videos, and, surprisingly, almost everyone hated it. The good news is, I have already found a perfect artificial voice for my channel, which is very realistic in the emotion with which it speaks every word. Tomorow I will test it on one of my videos. :) Cheers.

@simonapeters4372 Sorry, but I don't think so, and neither do most people. If the use of boots when riding a motorcycle were so important, governments would have already passed a law in this regard. Riding a motorcycle on the road is not the same as riding on a race track. Wearing boots will not save your life in an road accident. :) Cheers
