If you are a Racer TV Fan, that's only because of the existence of this Bike. An Honda CL 125 K3 from 1971, which is almost identical to Honda CB 125.
This video will tell you how important this bike is, and how Racer TV began.
I think this is one of my best videos till today.
It gave me a lot of work, but it worth it.
Enjoy it.

What a beautiful machine. I can't believe I didn't see it before the final top 30 of 2015. Simple, elegant, sober, and a perfect blend of colors, finishes, materials and textures. The proof that class and elegance doesn't have to roll on 1000 cc engines or bikes bought from the dealership. Thanks again.

I found RTV at the right time. I bought a Buell Blast from Harley-Davidson for $1,000 and yes it was a training school bike. The guy threw in another bike for $3,000(total) with tag, taxes and ready to roll because he was trying to get rid of them out of the warehouse. I sold one and that bike is running fine. Of course the one I kept had issues. RTV and a buell online site has become my home. Now as a write this, I am rebuilding the engine and doing mods to turn it into a cafe racer. Hopefully i will be done by next summer with the vision. Thank you for the imparting knowledge my good man.

A noteworthy milestone, Racer! Fifty thousand subscribers! Congratulations! No small achievement in the small, niche community of café racer enthusiasts! Yet it is you who have done so much to form and furnish and expand that niche. How many of us have been turned on to the café racer aesthetic by your passion, been schooled by your eye, been inspired by your projects -- most notably your wonderfully authentic, totally pure CB 125? Thank you, Racer, not for the first time -- and I hope to see you again next week.

+Griffin Anderson Wow. So many wonderful and kind words. Thank you my friend for sharing them. Although the video title is about the Honda CB 125, in fact it is an CL 125. I chose Cb 125 for the title by technical reasons. No one search for "Honda CL 125" on youtube. But generally, The "CL" and the "CB" model are almost identical. The main difference is the 4 speed gearbox. Thank you for your Kind comment. Cheers.

+RACER TV Ahh, but Racer, I didn't mean the "Spark" bike of this video, though it's a fine machine. I meant the CB 125 of "Tips for a fun racer" and other videos. Particularly impressive was the way you showed us your thought processes in "several 3D tests": how you selected, developed, started over; how you explored different colors, but found these to be dead ends and returned to basic black; the way you pondered and rethought every line of the tank decor until you found that little up-curve in the bottom pinstripe -- a curve that "makes" the bike in a way that no one can appreciate unless they have seen the previous iterations. That is the purity and authenticity I meant: taking a piece of junk and not stopping until it is as good as you can make it.
@RACER_TV
@RACER_TV 9 жыл бұрын
Griffin Anderson Oh, you are referring to my own Honda Cb 125. In that case, thank you again for your kind words. Curiously, the project was simpler than this one, but just because most part of the bike was already designed in 3D. Unfortunately, my bike isn't ready yet. There are many things that i need to finish and change. And again, thank you for such a kind comment about my little "precious". :) Cheers.

In a world of firsts, this being my first KZbin comment, this channel is the first ever to spark in me a passion for motorcycling which I've never really had before. I just "kinda" wanted it back then, but when you said, "It'll make you look cool"... I was sold. And in your "robotic" Optimus Prime Voice: "Thank you for creating Racer TV". Over and out (fade to black).

Building your "own" cafe racer or any project is such a personal experience. All those problems what would seem insignificant take days to think of a solution, then could be hidden within the bike! Over the many years of motorcycling I have owned 40+ different motorcycles, some very special bikes Bimota SB6R and Ducati 888 ! "My" cafe racer is the one bike I will never part with! I had no experience cutting things off of a motorcycle frame but did it anyway. I had no experience making and welding seat mounts and a wire harness pan but did it anyway. I had no experience making brackets to mount the rearsets but did it anyway. I have a long way to go on my build and much to learn and although I have worked on a number of bikes over the last 20 years I still find at times that I am stumped and have to think through a problem on my cafe project. But the enjoyment you get when a problem is solved and works or looks perfect is incredible. Keep giving us these great videos and someday in a better world we will ride our Honda S90s together.

As always, I have learned a new lesson today. 125 cc bikes are NOT only for newbie children, they can be REAL motorcycles, REAL cafe-racers. As you mentioned in one of your earlier videos, performance is what you expect it from it to be, your personal point of view and your personal way/style of driving. This is another superb proof to this theory(fact) of yours. This is a very good looking bike, reliable, non-expensive and surely fun to drive. 200HP and 200mph is NOT a global measure. Thank you, for presenting Racer-TV. *bowing-deep*

Hi there Racer, during the 80's I had the younger brother of this beautiful little bike, the Honda CB125TB twin carb model. What a fantastic little guy he was, I remember him fondly. The bike would cruise all day at 70 mph and had a top speed of over 90 fully loaded. I live in Yorkshire in the North of England and on my 125 I toured all over Scotland, England and Wales on him. He never let me down mechanically and only got 3 punctures in over 10,000 miles and I could fix those at the side of the road, unlike my modern CB600FS Hornet I have now. Great videos mate, keep up the good work!!

Back in 1989 I built a cafe racer from an old CG125, it was for a friends girlfriend who was not very tall and she wanted something a little racy to run around on, I de-lugged the frame and rebuilt the motor, fitted a stronger clutch, a larger carb with a ram-air filter and re-jetted it, the head was gas flowed, the crank was balanced, I even went as far as to make sure the spark plug was pointing in the right direction for the inlet valve, we replaced as much metal with lighter plastic while keeping to the cafe racer theme, we ditched the centre stand to save weight, when we were done it was a little beast and my friends girlfriend was very pleased indeed. Sadly after having moved home six times and been through a house fire I no longer have the pictures to show you : (

+RACER TV I like to have a full understanding of all my interests due to my natural curiosity and that I think differently than most. It was not enough for me to simply like something. Why did I like it? How did it do that? I have seen many of your videos and one day started thinking of all the things you had to do to in order to make it. You have your own way of making videos where each one is special. Each video captivates and moves the audience. Your videos are difficult to make, let alone the amount of editing. I am surprised that you can consistenly produce high quality videos every 7 days. Thank you RACER TV for the joy and happiness your videos bring to your fans. If you keep making videos, I'll keep watching them. Cheers to you as well.
