Very reliable bike and more powerful than the current muffled one euro shit, just need a good yearly maintenance (Carb, mechanical ignition, general greasing, oild change and valves clearance) and you are set. 15 years and 20000km without any issue.

Had my first ( white ) in 1979 got another now ( currently black ), a 1981. The motors wear their bores quickly but sae 50 fully synthetic tamed that a little. Mine has had the head skimmed now runs at just over 10 to 1, I have 26 mm flatslides on it and shaved over 50 lbs of weight off it too. Sits comfortably at 90 mph. On down hill sections it just nudges 98 confirmed by a friend on a Ninja 600. I'm going to over bore it further press the stock liners out, machine them to accept CB 185 liners and Wiseco high comp pistons then set about the cylinder head. Rework the head and gas flow it. Mine makes nearly 20 bhp right now , at the crank. Around 3 bhp up on stock.

Hi have you heard of arch oil, there's one of Jay Leno's garage videos on it, it's a friction modifier, I tried it on an old cb500 using a bit of oil every week, it was amazing, like a new engine, on tick over it went up 3000 rpm, might help with power and wear, no will. I only found out about the cb125t today, want one. 👍 Supplier power enhancer UK.

Got a cb125t2 from 80' myself ive ridden it for 2 days now had the fuse wire break after a ride but it is all good now it is a great little bike indeed i like riding it way more than riding my friends yzf-r's only downside is the electrics arent the best but since the new fuse wire its had plenty of electricity so could just have been that the fuse was the only issue
@TheRoamine743 жыл бұрын
Electrical hardness is not bad, just old so forgive it :). Check if you have all the ground in place, no wire touching, and that the battery give you 7-8V at mid-High rev (meaning the rectifier is OK). Excellent bike when well set, YZF125, KTM duke 125 and CBR125 have a better start on the first 20 meters but well behind when the CB is at high rev !

No upgrade. Engine rebuilt since 5000km and all is well set and in good shape. 130kmh is normal for this bike (most powerful 125cc 4 stroke ever made for a standard bike) ! The only drawback is the lack of torque at low rev.

Same engine but crankshaft 360° for the CM (pistons move at the same time up and down, for the cbt 180°=> one up and the other one down), so a bit more torque but less power (less rev). For the Rebel it has just one carb and 360° so only 11hp (16.5hp for the cbt).
Stock but perfectly setup ! 116kg dry helps compared to the recent heavy 125cc.
