ENOMA stands for 'Easygoing Native Outsiders Making Assessments'. We (Kirti & Savio) are a married couple from India.
We serve soulful, psychological and pure music reactions on a regular basis. We love to create LIVE, insightful, deep & honest reactions.
We are two counselors, teachers & stay-at-home parents who enjoy listening to music for the first time.
We take the time to give a good review of music that we listen to. We seek to understand a song's meaning.
We often venture deep into the heart of a song to share a honest, sincere & educated assessment on it.
We want you to have a great experience while watching our videos. And have a good time on our channel.
Our 'post-reaction analysis' is based on our educational background, life experiences, rich culture & passion for music.
As counselors, we are trained to observe & listen well. This helps us a lot during our reactions.
Savio is excellent at reading in-between the lines. People say that I have good listening & observation skills.
As a result of our diversity, viewers get to watch good reactions on ENOMA every time.
We love reacting to music from all over the world. It can be seen in the 600 reactions we've created.

Philadelphia Soul, which this song represents, was one of the most influential era's and sounds in history. It was a very distinct sound like the "Motown Sound." This song was written by Linda Creed and Thomas Bell, who along with Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff, were the progenitors of "Philly Soul" as it would be known. I recommend the song "Children of the Night" by the Stylistics, written by Creed & Bell, and also a couple of songs written by Gamble & Huff which are "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" performed by Lou Rawls and "Darlin' Darlin' Baby (Sweet, Tender, Love)" performed by the O'Jays for review to get a good feel of the "Philly Sound." Nice job!

The Music of Philly has been popular since the 1950's. It is next to Chicago one of the Epicenters of R & B Music in it's early days. one of the Songs on Mad Men when Paul Hosted a Party at his Apartment in New Jersey. The Lead Singer is Russell Tompkins whose Falsetto (aka High Voice) is considered one of the best in R & B along with Eddie Kendricks Of The Temptations. He would later influence Barry Gibb Of The Bee Gees during their Saturday Night Fever Era not to mention Too Much Heaven. He was also an amazing influence on Jordan Knight Of New Kids On The Block. The reason why you see The Group go from Five to Four is that either someone leaves The Group and retires. They and so many others do Old School Show in Philly and the fans love them.

Growing up in Philadelphia I have to admit, I took this song for granted -knowing I would always hear it a couple more times that day on the radio. It wasn't until I left the area for many years that the really good songs never leave me, and I find myself going back to them. Their music was just phenomenal.

This song is one of the prime examples of 70's "Philly Soul" (the iconic sound that the Philadelphia International label was known for back then). The production (check out the merry-go-round rhythm that permeates the song, gives even more life to that lyric "the ups and downs, a carousel":::wink:::wink:::), orchestration, and songwriting (especially from the Thom Bell/Linda Creed and Kenneth Gamble/Leon Huff teams, ooh wee!!!) were arguably second-to-none at the time. As for the group itself, the Stylistics were a very influential one in the sense that lead tenor Russell Thompkins Jr.'s gratuitous use of his trademark falsetto range gave rise to more artists and groups of that decade and even well into the 80s that kept mining that higher register for added emotional punch. Another wonderful song choice, I must admit. Lyrics still remain relevant today... ;-)

Enoma...Thanks to Thom Bell, who wrote some wonderful songs for The Stylistics, The Spinners etc etc... was one of the architects of the Philly sound and a true genius....as I've said on another reaction..I love your genuine critiques to music especially when you've never heard the song and it takes me back to when I first heard the songs as a child or teenager.....you are a fun couple from my pov when it comes to this medium...continue the good work

Also, I forgot Michael Jackson did the cover version... pretty good usually MJ takes a song and sing it better than the original. I think his version was not as good as Russell Thompkins jr. This was a first... every last cover MJ did was just good as the original artist version except for People Make the World Go Round and La La Means I Love You ( Delfonics).
