Funny how perspectives are. I, for one, hate auto tune, and because of that I absolutely can’t stand this part. It feels way too sharp and corny to my ears. I can’t help but make a face every time the song gets there lol I objectively listen to this song because of the feeling I get through the chorus: “I watch the moon Let it run my mood Can’t stop thinking of you” I love the way it’s structured and I love the melodies as the sentences grow longer in each verse It amuses me the different ways art connects to people. Hopecore brought me directly to this song. Ik people might get annoyed or mad at me because i practically discovered the song bc of Tiktok, but i mean it when i say that the videos that have introduced me to this song have been saving my life in a way. Seeing the people so happy, excited, amused, having fun, etc. just made me think of how much I'll really love those moments even if they arrive once per year. Right now i don't have much people to rely on, and the ones that i have are really lovables and kind, that are trying hard to keep a little smile on my face at least. I know that it's hard, and that probably not everything will be completely okay, and that maybe you won't find all the pieces of your puzzle, but sure there are things that will take it's place. Heard this just randomly flipping through shorts and immediately got hooked by it. Something about it just has this mid 2000s vibe to it and it sounds like something i could hear in a modern Need For Speed game. Just like a kinda happy kinda sad reminiscent feeling. Literally the audio representation of looking back on the past while hopeful for the future ahead. Think like a song for the interlude, not necessarily the end of the story, but so far from the beginning that everything else just seems distant enough that a second opening is necessary for the rest of the story.
