I am a DM survivor! This explains the cycle of emotions and thoughts I have while healing from being in "LOVE" and the harsh reality that it wasn't love at all. To all the survivors or even in current situations, I wish you the strength to walk away, peace , joy , and finding genuine love for yourself. We survive and do recover! Remember this is the most loving thing you can do for yourself and that it's NEVER too late to become the person you want to be.

I once had a girlfriend that really loved this song. She would sing it to me or text the lyrics to me and so would I. It felt like "our" song. Her lyrics were "cant stop thinking of you i want you" I never had the heart to tell her the lyrics were "I watch you." I didnt really care because it made me feel special. Like I was loved. All my life I have never felt loved and to finally feel it? God it felt amazing. So when it ended, It hurt so much. Everything just reminded me of her. So many songs, so many smells, so many clothes, so many words, places, stores, items, it felt like my world had collapsed and I wanted to stay in my room foreverEverything is fine now and now I listen to this song and think about how much of an asshole she was and how she basically ghosted me then when I confronted her she tried to gaslight me and said "I never loved her and tried to use her bla bla bla" when she was the one who ghosted me despite always telling me how im her soulmate and said she would never leave my side yet did just that in the moment I needed her the most. "how much can I be expected to tolerate." I have an english essay that I should really start writing now...

This song reminds me of someone I cut from my life during a BPD episode, and I occasionally find myself coming back to it for comfort. You won't see this, but I hope youre doing well, man. I hope life has treated you kindly, and that you've grown as a person. I know I have.
