You pushed the bike,you tested out acceleration and quickshifting,you did city and rural driving, and yet you averaged 6.0 litres/100 kms on fuel consumption ? Amazing figure for a bike with this kind of power and lunacy. Amazing review once again Cager. The most trustworthy youtuber as it comes in motorcycle reviews.

Which engine do you like better? The 948 on the Z, or the 847 on the MT? From my research, the Z900 has a slightly higher power-to-weight ratio from about 6,000 rpm to redline. I do like the 4.5 gallon tank on the Z.
@exothermal.sprocket7 жыл бұрын
Butt-dynos can be different for different people. I've run the math at all RPM ranges between the two, and the FZ/MT carries a very slight power-to-weight advantage below 6,000 rpm. But it's slight, nothing drastic at all. I even compared both of them in a "modified" condition with full exhaust systems installed. Actually the Z900 wasn't tuned at all, but did have full exhaust (Akrapovic website dyno chart) whereas the numbers for the Yamaha I used were fully uncorked and flashed and dyno tuned.

Ive sold my Z900 and will get this. MT09 is not as Sharp in the turns or as stable in high speed as the Kawasaki Z900 but its way more fun bike to ride. The motor is like night and day and produce loads off torque early and it actually fells like it has 15HP over the Z even if the figures says otherwise.

I love it. So fun compared to the Z900. I got a full exhaustsystem on it also wich makes it even better. I can highly recomend this bike.

Hi everybody can you please give me some suggestions on how to verify with videotape and a go pro hero 4 silver my 1299S when it intermittently and randomly and unexpectedly stalls out? Every time i take it to the dealer they said they can't duplicate the problem and Ducati of North America video taped my bike with no problems. But my 1299s still stalls out on me in congested stop in go traffic all the time and when I feather the clutch and drive between 0 to 15 mph on the street or freeway or on the street.However I'm an amateur and I just purchased a hero 4 go pro silver camera do you have suggestions on how to mount it to the 1299S gas tank ? I'm concerned with losing the camera what type a suction mount the go pro hero 4 camera? What I should use and what can I use in case the suction loses its grip to keep the camera from damaging the motorcycle and the camera in case it falls thanks advance for everything. The dealer said prove the 1299s is stalling out with video verification because they claim everything is checking out A ok on the computer test sheet with Ducati engineers and Ducati video tape that they won't show me What would you do? Thanks in advance for everything.

Why would the Z900 be better over a long distance? Isn't torque useful when touring?
@zachhecksel29207 жыл бұрын
Sounds like it's more tame and smooth. I test drove the Z900 but not the Fz-09 and the Z900 left me in awe from how "refined" it was. It really is smooth and still has great mid and top end power. Low revs were not disappointing either. Really wish I could test drive the Yamaha but nobody is doing it around me.
@SykeMed7 жыл бұрын
More cyliders => smoother. Also from my experience riding the bike for a year now, the MT09 is a bit vibey cruising in sixth around 70mph though I think it's the problem with this whole fueling "black spot" in rev range to pass emission test (4-5k rpm). It smooths out around 85-90mph and at 100mph it's like gliding on a fluffy cloud, but that's not legal now is it...
@1990-t1j7 жыл бұрын
More cylinders = increased blandness. I respect my B-King but find it fairly characterless My MT-01 and Buell Ulysses have character in abundance and aren't vibey at speed. You just know the engine's there which is what I like. I would like an MT-09.

Be careful of the timing of your downshifts mate. If it doesn't have a slipper clutch you could have been standing the bike up going into the corner or locking the back wheel slightly. I have been subbed for a while and this is the only video of yours where you made me concerned for your safety. A piece of tape over the QS light or a coloured marker pen would solve the problem. Nice review as always. Keep the vids coming but keep safe please.
