My 2011 Yamaha Stryker 1300 is the coolest, and best bike I've ever owned. It has so much power, and sticks to the road like glue even in the wind. It just goes straight like a Cadillac because it's deadly smooth, yet you have that glorious V-Twin growl and rumble.

Excellent review and ride. Wonderful critique and review worthy riding skills and bike evaluation. One of the best reviews on a bike I have seen. Too many people with poor riding skills and knowledge try to do reviews. Your ride/review was very good and helpful with deciding if i want a Stryker. Thank you for doing a great bike ride and review. Keep the shiny side up.

I have the Raider and have never had an issue with scraping. I suspect that since this Stryker has mods....it is probably been lowered as well.

Cager i would recommend you render your videos in 1440p or 4k, even if the footage is 1080, because it ups the bitrate on youtube so faster moving scenes become less of a blurry mess. The 1080p quality stays the same and everyone can enjoy a higher bitrate, even if you only have a 1080p monitor.

Does this technique really improve the footage that much? I don't think his video is overly blurred...

Hey Cager. Weird question - which one would you prefer brand new XV950R or slightly used XVS1300 Custom? Asking because have fallen in love with both of them (by looks and sound so far...have to wait for spring to drive :< ), and prices in Sweden for both are almost the same. It would be used daily for trips to work (basically motorway, but on the way home, more scenic 70 kph routes - about 45 km one way). Have a VFR800 from 2008 together with my brother- it's good and nice, but it's time to buy something for me. And the problem is, that I have a massive spread in which bike I would take next - from MT07, through those 2 mentioned at the start, Tracer 900 and ending with Super Tenere (from practical viewpoint, Super Tenere or Tracer would be best - but the price/insurance makes it hard to pick.)

A Stryker does not have low performance. Not sure what your doing wrong or if the bike is configured badly.

Cager" you need to test the triumph rocket 3, and see how a real power cruiser feels, and it don't have to be a new one because the bikes from 2004- 2016 has not changed much except for the foot pegs and abs, I have the 2005 and I love her! "Be Safe"

the popping actually means it was never tuned for that exhaust and is running lean, it needs to be richened up and it will stop that.
@ripmax3338 жыл бұрын
it can also mean that has some kind secondary air supply system which is still active, if that is disconnected it will also stop the popping sound.

These type of bikes are like American muscle cars in that the love to go straight and they are not very fast. They are comfy, sound great and make one feel great and that is why there are so loved. And just like cars many do not buy practical ones. Not my style but like yourself I can see their place, if I could have a garage full then one would be there.

No performance!? My 2011 hauls ass and humiliates every other cruiser on the road. The Stryker that you're riding must have something seriously wrong with it or it's not tuned with that exhaust and it's running like crap because to say that the Yamaha Stryker has no performance and is not a fast bike is absolutely ludicrous I can easily bury the 130 mph speedometer without hitting redline in 5th gear

Cager did you say 97BHP for 300KG? WTF is that
@lubovavidea28328 жыл бұрын

@MotorDanko8 жыл бұрын
that is not a really problem in cruiser bikes, you don't need to go fast, you don't need too much power, you just need suficient torque to make this bike go well fully loaded with two passenger at 120-130kmh only touching the gas... its the only thing that this bike has to make, it doesnt need to accelerate fast, brake fast nor turn fast... i have my self a Suzuki Intruder C800 and is the same thing... but don't get me wrong, for some reason i find a lot more fun accelerating the powerful big vtwin than a 600 superbike... yes, the sbk is faster, and more easy to manouver, but the C800 is a lot more fun, is like driving a muscle car...

No performance, no clearance, so won't do corners. Kind of takes all the good aspects of motorbikes really. Don't you agree? It may look good but you can't see the bike when you're riding it. I don't get these kind of bikes. No fun at all. I've rode the African Twin. Lovely but underpowered. I agree with you why the Yanks like them. Straight roads plus their gas prices are really low. Not for us Europeans. Why have a bike that doesn't do twisties? Mad idea. The only place for it here in Euroland would be along the sea front where you took it. But after that meh. You're XJ6 will do everything that this can plus tour and corner nicely if you wanna have a bit of fun. If you're in the market for just one bike that does alot of things relatively well this bike ain't it. But yours absolutely is. Oh yes tight filtering forget about it. Mind you again the Americans don't.care about that too much. Strange country at times. Forgot to ask why have they taped up the exhaust like that?
