She's an absolute beauty. One of the best, underrated mountains on the island. Love doing the steep route up Caherbla, up to the fort, past Caherconree's summit, up to Baumtregaum and down past the lakes

definiitely agree there Jamie, a lot of people, myself included at the start, would just driven past the Slieve Mish when heading down towards the more famous ones,, but they are cracking and well worth the effort....

Hi how long does it take to reach the fort and does the trail start at the sign post on the road

On a good day it takes me 75 mins. And yea, the trail starts at the signpost, you’re pretty much straight into it.
