Dude I was just about to pickup a standard JS22 Dingy because I thought they didn’t make a Les Paul-ish version. You just saved my life.
@necurrence17763 жыл бұрын
I just played one today. The whole guitar felt very inviting to shred on. It's lightweight. Highly recommended for small hands. I couldn't find any manufacturing flaws on it. I wasn't blown away by the pickups sound however. If it's exclusively high gain you're going for, then the pickups are fine. Best regards

Killer distortion is always fun, but clean tone really gets you to the other side of metal. Especially when playing 90s favorites.
@r3ckl3ssofficial Жыл бұрын
I like the clear tones on this guitar. I don’t have a amp but I have a speaker with amp plugins and it’s sounds amazing dude. I can’t distort my speaker but hearing it on rocksmith it sounds awesome
@midtown32213 жыл бұрын
I finally found it: Les Paul body with a _arm cut!_ Pickups actually sound killer with a good amp, inexpensive, flat neck, simple HH with split coil...my only concern is quality control. Holy crap is this my first axe??

I pick one of these up a few days ago, payed it every day since... on rocksmith until I broke a string... But when I wanna get out of the game, what should I get so I can get a variety of effects? Maybe something that I can plug headphones into to connect to my scarlet 2i2 for recording?. Can you recommend a product from video reviews you've done?

Hahahahaha. You could hear my thoughts from there??? - Eric
@okplld3 жыл бұрын
Do you recommend kramer baretta special if I want to learn mostly thrash metal songs from Megadeth, anthrax, etc. I'm a beginner I have narrowed down my options to jackson js12, 22, esp ltd 10, or kramer baretta special, I like how kramer sounds in reviews compared to other guitars but I'm not sure if it's suitable for what I want to learn.
@CAHouseMusic3 жыл бұрын
@@okplld any of the guitars you mentioned would be a good place to start. The Kramer would definitely NOT be a BAD choice for this style of music. Keep in mind you only get the bridge pickup on the kramer, where the others open up the options with the neck pickup. Now, with that said my main guitar only has a bridge pickup and I don’t have any issues, so you may be just fine with the Kramer. I really enjoyed this JS22 Monarkh in the video, and I was very surprised at how well it played and sounded. This one in the video is still available as well

Nice review and playing. Did not expect such 'clean' clean tones. Seeing the Jackson name on a trad single cut is so strange in a great way. What amp/mic are you using in the demo?
@CAHouseMusic3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! I was pleasantly surprised by the cleans as well. I’m actually not using an amp at all, but rather going through my helix. The room we shoot in isn’t sound proofed, and it’s right next to a highway and the other side is the drum department. All the noise interferes and bleeds into the demo, so I started going to DI for consistency and control over the tone. The “amp” setting is a a Rectifier panned on one side and a 5150 on the other, both cab IR’s are 4x12 V30’s with a blend of an SM57 and a ribbon mic. This my personal setup and I built the patches forever ago. I think they compliment each other nicely.
@thedaways3 жыл бұрын
@@CAHouseMusic yes they do! Even listening on KZbin and I wasn’t using great headphones. Gotta look into a helix. Thanks so much for replying. Love the channel.

i’ve been looking for many electric guitars to buy, as i’ve never owned one before. but i have a limit of $600 AUD, i was looking at this one and it seems to be okay for a beginner electric guitar player, what are your thoughts ? i’ve been playing acoustic for about 2 years but i need en electric guitar because acoustics starting to get repetitive haha!

It’s nice looking. I always worry about things like pickups on lower-priced guitars, but you seem to like them, eh. How about frets? One funny thing: I was watching a vid of a guy with a foreign accent, so I had captioning turned on. When you played dirty, the caption said [Music] & [Applause.] When you played clean, it said [Music] & [Laughter].
@CAHouseMusic3 жыл бұрын
I'm surprised it didn't say "booing"!
@CAHouseMusic3 жыл бұрын
as for the frets, they're much better than I expected. it plays a LOT better than other guitars in that price range. The pickups on it were nice, but that's always preference. They had a lot of output, but you can always tweak to YOUR sound. I personally change out pickups so frequently, I don't even know what MY sound is anymore haha!

Are the pickups any good for playing on a low tuning? For example Drop A I'm willing to get this guitar as well but I want it to play some heavy stuff, is it worth it?
@josuemarpe3 жыл бұрын
You should take in consideration scale length. Short scales are not the best for drop B and beyond tunings, specially if you want to play beyond fret 5 in the sixth string, where intonation goes out ouf whack. I hope it helps
