I bought one used from Guitar Center about 3 years ago. It's a matte black, which I hated at first. But I love this guitar now. For under $200 used and made in China, it's pretty impressive. Feels great, plays great. Love it.

Jackson's stock pickups are excellent! I've never had any desire to change them in any of the Jacksons I've owned.

Yeah kind of agree. Both Jackson and Ibanez does fine low priced gear. Only difference is Jackson pups are better and has some bite. Same priceclass.

Well thanks for actually describing the characteristics of the guitar and not just playing it and calling it a review.

These are some of the best gear reviews I've seen - and certainly among the most honest of guitars at these price points. I am deeply skeptical of many of these sponsored videos - they're really just advertising for the product in question. Not so for this channel - a class act all the way.

I'd absolutely love to see a double cut version of these guitars.

Pretty guitar. Nice pie cabinet behind you , I used to make those. LOL I love low priced guitars. I don't like to call any guitar cheap. I bought a really clean Peavey Raptor I (Korea) for $50 and they sell for $300 in the shape mine is in. On my channel my son , (Wes checks out , Harley Benton DC-200 CH and Jackson Monarkh SC JS22) Mine is the flat black 199 dollar version which is pretty much the same guitar , other than the finish. Beware the mic in the phone we recorded the video gets a bit overloaded. The body on mine appears to be a dark wood like Mahogany viewed inside the electronics cavity. It's heavy 8.5lbs on my luggage scale. Balances at , right around the bridge pickup so not a lot of neck dive. It's about 41" long so when you look for a case. I believe the guitar is worthy of a hard case. I do find the tuners aren't fine enough to use with a Fishman Tripleplay but , that's a device for masochists.

Not many production guitars have 21mm nut width. This one and Yamaha Pacifica.

@@AJgeartalk ok. It is like the rest of jackson line, designed for metal primarily. The clean tones are bright due to the hotter design. What will you due with it?

What is the nut width on this guitar? 1 5/8 or 1 11/16? I heard it is a little narrow so I thought I would inquire.

How the weight on it? Heavy, light. Any neck dive?
@AJgeartalk3 жыл бұрын
Roughly 7 lbs. Haven't had any issues with "neck dive".
