That girl is not Ellie. She’s short and does not have a lean body type like Ellie in the games. Also, game Ellie is butchy and this girl doesn’t have a lick of that in her nor would she be able to act like it. Bella is Ellie so shut up about these girls that look nothing like pixelated Ellie from the games.

@@libs1843 She doesn’t tho. It’s all your imagination. They look nothing alike. Game Ellie is athletic, has a thousand freckles on her face, green eyes, and more pronounced features than this girl. No one looks exactly like game Ellie because the devs didn’t use anyones likeness for her model. I don’t mean to be rude but it’s frustrating when people pick some “it” girl of the month and try to argue that this girl looks like Ellie which inadvertently puts down Bella. Especially, when it is a short, petite, feminine woman that really does not look like Ellie at all.

@@gloameyedprince I am judging the casting call not the actors. Th original movie had a believable blue collar cast with a wider age range. Are we going to buy these actors as space colonizers? I guess you could argue that they were chosen for being young and possessing the desirable genetics for procreation but it doesn’t change the fact that the movie claims to be in the spirit of the original but isn’t being cast as realistically. Maybe you should get over yourself and not take such offense over a valid critique.

It is only iconic if it is a great movie. But to me, it just looks like a re-hash of a story already done. You cannot tell me they found a story actually worth telling rather than just coming out with a newer version of alien rather than the prometheus style of branching off. I am not interested.
