Stop. They are the minority. We hear about them because people make a deal about them being kids of famous people. There are soo many brilliant and good actors who are new non nepo people. And even if they are. It may get you in the door. A role or two. But if you're not good, you don't make it. We all take advantage of some sorta nepotism. My dad helped me get my job. Guilty. I think she’s great in a wide range of roles. She can easily switch from the girl next door to a strong female lead or a supportive character. When I watched Romulus, it was so evident Cailee's performance was just many levels better than everyone else in that film. All the other actors will acting with their body language, actions and props. Cailee, like all great actors was acting with her eyes. Her emotional state was so accurate and on point for every shot she was in. You knew exactly what she was feeling and thinking just by looking at her eyes. On top of that, she's young and beautiful. Yes, she's going to have an amazing career.

She was good in Alien Romulus but she was not the best actor and character in the movie. It was David Jonsson as Andy the Android. His performance was so nuanced and complexed. The way he changed from shy and dumb to astute and calculated was simply brilliant. Yeah, I get it, you like her, who doesn’t, I do too, and she was indeed good. But David was the scene stealer if you ask me. And I can even understand your opinion of Cailee being your favorite, but to simply say she was many levels over everybody, which included David Jonsson, is just bonkers to me.

Really depends on what you classify as ‘beautiful’ if you mean ppl like Jessica Alba, Megan Fox, Kate Hudson, then sure they can’y act for shit but also seriously, 90% of actresses are ‘beautiful’ and like men who are classically handsome there’s of course some who can’t act shit. But acting as if beautiful means they likely can’t act is silly given that Margot Robbie, Ana de Armas, Scarlett Johansson, Sydney Sweeney, Anya Taylor Joy, Jenna Ortega, just a few of the most popular famous actors currently, all can absolutely act their ass off. There’s hardly a corrolation between beautiful and ‘can’t act’ given that Hollywood has always filtered and discriminated against any person not handsome, hot, beautiful, good-looking. That’s stardom. Same goes for men, Chris Pratt isn’t renowned for his versatility.

She clearly has been given a lot of support to pick an approach to roles of a diverse nature to explore. It is not clear if she is being advised or has made up her mind prior to getting deep into a varied platform of roles that greatly differ from one another or not. But IMO, in her line of work at a young age, if she can show everyone she has the chops to not be typecast, she can have a very long and rewarding career ahead of her. Actors that have a range to play all forms of the arts makes them very valuable. And I like that she wants to try new things and push her boundaries! That is the mark of a true respectable artist. Actors can be fantastic sponges of knowledge if given the opportunity.

Mmmmm...
