Well, sometimes, you have to sacrifice some realism to tell a good story. If they wanted Caillou to be a role model, then either A. Make him unrealistically nice and well-behaved. B. Portray him as a realistic toddler, but have him get punished for bad behavior.

@@thomashuffman3237 You are nowhere close to wrong, there is a good reason to do that which is to teach kids how to behave, yes alot of kids are brats however there are still some kids who are angels and this show should teach kids to be like those angels and why to to be like them. Not to mention that kids are more likely to copy what they see on tv and if they watch a show like this they might think that it's okay to be a brat. He's nine now, he can't pick out his own clothes,, tie his shoes, or do pretty much anything but eat and play video games. He's won't even try, he has to have his mommy and daddy there to help. When he was 6 and we were on vacation, he threw a tantrum in the disney store (we're talking on the ground kicking and screaming) because he couldn't get a toy that he ALREADY HAD AT HOME. One time when my parents picked me up from their place I said to them "Mom, dad, I am afraid of Caillou and I don't like him. He is a brat." For a minute, my parents thought that Caillou was a real kid who was a bully, and called the babysitters and told them that they didn't want me around Caillou anymore. 3 year old me was confused about what my parents had just done, and I told them that Caillou was just a tv show but I hated watching it so much.
