Congrats Sarah. Throws up her lunch, continues to the race and back in the night to support her local tri club. Best example of a pro athlete that every possible Aussie sponsor should get behind.

Thanks Robert, tough day but we have to take the good with the bad, especially when you look at it over the 15+ years i have raced as a professional.

You're a tough, tough woman, Sarah. Powering through that run would've been a challenge. There was something about the race this year that really attracted the spewers, never seen so many people chucking during an Ironman!

Loved watching the race and suddenly you vanished away… as i have broken rips (all left side) and more broken parts (collarbone and shoulder-plate) in my shoulder, i tell you that it takes me still a lot of energy in the healing process and i was surprised when i saw your quick comeback. Give it time and you don’t need to prove us anything but just be yourself as you are a nice person…

Yeh I tried 🤷🏼♀️ I just wanted to try to defend my title. Back to rest now and a rebuild. Take care broken bones suck.

It was great to watch a master at work. We were all there cheering you on. Every champion has their day, considering how far you come from 5 weeks ago you should be still be super proud.

Thanks for giving such an open account of the race and your current situation. It was helpful to understand what exactly happened as this wasn’t clear from the coverage. Really insightful and honest reflection on the race. Best of luck for a full recovery and a great day in Kona!
