I was in Cairo for transit for 20 hours, I remember Attaba was the name of the metro line going to Tahrir square. It made sense for a quick trip from the airport to the museum and back. If they make good suits for cheap and are closeby, there might be a good business idea there.

You should go, there are 100s of tailors in the area. Some not so good and , well my guy is very good as you saw in the video. Great please to explore and see all the cloth that is for sale there. I will be hopefully doing more videos like this one, this winter.

He used a sewing machine, and I saw it with my own eyes. The suit is a year old now and holding together in one piece really well. :) It was because of the currency collapsing and him not treating me like a tourist and giving me the local price, that it seemed too cheap for that price.

We had just been through the second wave of the the Tsunami in Sri Lanka and the roof we had climbed on to was about to collapse.

They built "New Cairo" and then they started to build even 'newer Cairo'. So the old Down Town part has not changed at all in 30 years. They have restored a lot of the old Art Deco and Streamline Modern buildings, but yeah, is a living museum of the 70's . I love it!
