The Lynx have hella deep bench and they are all good and they all play great defense. The Fever did not guard the 3 point shot, still turning the ball over way too much and some of that is due to the Lynx's defense. The Lynx has the most assists of any team I heard them say tonight, played great team ball. I don't like forcing the ball under the basket, Kelsey seemed to revert back to not sharing the ball, AB should have kicked the ball back out and it resulted in turnovers. Thank god for Lexie Hull.

Had the Free Throws been relatively even, I would've agreed with you, but they weren't I saw several Fever players get hacked and nothing called. The also took away a Clark 3 on a BS call on Boston. Points in the paint were even(34-34), so were basically the rebounds(37-36 Lynx), the Lynx made one more basket and took two less shots (33-73,32-75). Minnesota is a good enough team without ANY help from the refs.. If they face the Lynx in the Playoffs, you can expect the Fever to get very few calls. Thats MY humble opinion..

Love your takes man. I dunno what it is, it must be the difference between watching the game on TV vs being on the floor, but I felt like sometimes teams are just blind to the players who hot and in the zone. I feel like Lexi established herself right from the jump that she’s in beast mode for this game and it was killing me that she didn’t get more chances for shots on goal. To be fair, she did have Napheesa covering her most times, but still, I feel like this could have been one of those games where Lexi could have been an entire highlight reel. I don’t know crap about basketball. I watch for CC, but I felt the Fever let the refs get in their head in the 3rd qtr. When AB gave up that technical, you could feel the momentum shift. It wasn’t so much the Lynx taking the momentum so much as the Fever giving it to them. But credit to the Lynx for capitalizing on the opportunity.

That is Coach Side's problem. She just can't do it on the fly. She forgets to call timeouts during opponent's runs, and bad substitutions hurts the TEAM. Refs didn't help either but that is the job of the Coach to steady the team when the Refs are NOT making the right calls. SHE IS NOT IT for ANY TEAM....SHE just doesn't HELP THE TEAM to be BETTER....She just don't hurt the team too much at times when they win but hurt the team when they are losing. We can see it, but some don't seem to recognize that Sides is not a GOOD Coach.

Fever problem was defense. They play 10 feet off the player they were defending around the perimeter. Then they tried to double team and no switching. So they got burned. Leaving Lynx open on perimeter and in the lane.

It is all about defense strategy. They had a little comeback and brought the game into a 1 pt game. They made some stops. Their double team strategy is the problem. Very ineffective. Whenever they double-team, they leave a player wide open at the three point line. If it is so ineffective do not do it. Whenever a player lops the ball into the paint, Fever has a player moved into the paint to double-team. Again it leaves the three point line wide open for other team to exploit. Why double-team when you achieve nothing. Fever players are poor at double-team. Thus avoid it as much possible.

The Lynx are too deep. The Fever's top five match up okay with the Lynx top five in terms of quality. After that . . . it's all Lynx. I don't like Reeves' personality, but she coaches her team well. She also has excellent players. But their defense is spectacular. Lynx players play aggressive on-ball defense without compromising TEAM defense. They rotate quickly on defense. They fight through screens. The Clark/Boston pick and roll with the pocket pass wasn't there tonight. The Fever still okay in transition, and had some stretches of hitting threes, but the Lynx made the Indiana half-court offense stagnant.

Boston, Dantas, Samuelson, and Smith all play defense at the same slow ass speed. It never shows in transition, but it shows badly in the half court. They cannot close out when the ball moves and keep up with teams that have solid movement on and off the ball. Reeves is a smart coach. On almost every play, Lynx got down the floor quick and set their defense and let Clark walk the ball up the floor uncontested. They basically ran zero defense from the opposite court. CC does a ton of damage with her speed on teams that guard her right at the half point and beyond by passing down to players who leak into the paint in transition and on turnovers and the Lynx were having none of that. Even then Clark filled the stat sheet because she is that good. Lynx just a better team with an equal talent to Clark in Colier. Fever wants anyone but the Lynx in the first round. Shit I am dropping games late if it sets me up for a slip into a different seed if it avoids the lynx.

I think you got this analysis wrong; Sides lost the game for them. Her rotations are STUPID! She calls time outs at the most DUMB times and she slowed up the game. This allowed the Lynx's to win!

I get it we talked about this in the live chat. I can't say it's all Christie's fault though. They've won games where people would say "Christie stayed out of the way finally." They know how to play ball even if the rotations were trash what happened when they had the right personnel on the court? The coach can only do so much the players have to come and play and they didn't in that 3rd quarter.

After that 3 point miss by Mitchell with 3 something to go in the game, that is when it all turned bad. They have to learn to feed Boston more in crunch time. You only down 4 points. 84-80. Did not need that 3.

They lost hurt and then the Aces came back and won, it’s a 2 header lost. Very disappointed. Boston needs to step up, She’s horrible at setting up a screen
